From September 2026, all children in households receiving Universal Credit will qualify for income-related free school meals. There will be no income limit.

If you already receive income-related Free School Meals, here's what's changing:

· Transitional Protection is ending
· Annual eligibility checks began on the 1st of June 2026
· You will receive confirmation after each check
