Library @ the Phoenix Centre

The Phoenix Centre, built at the heart of the Roundshaw Estate, is a large complex integrating a unique combination of 15 different community uses in a safe and accessible environment. Opened in September 2004, the Phoenix Centre has been designed to cater for the needs of the local community. With a leisure centre, youth zone, library, cafe and a community hall all under one roof, the centre provides a unique blend of services that cannot be found anywhere else in the borough. The centre provides a safe, fun, family environment and offers courses and activities for all ages and interests. With its modern design, a welcoming reception and a range of facilities and activities, you will not fail to be impressed. The library itself has a large IT Suite and free computer access, as well as 15,000 items of stock. We offer books, talking books, DVDs and PS3 games for hire. The Library @ the Phoenix Centre is open daily for 83 hours per week. This makes our library one of the UKs most accessible libraries, being open longer than most, if not all, other UK libraries.
