I extend a warm welcome to each of you as you embark on this new journey with Lifelong Ability North East (LANE). Though we may be a new service provider, our team brings with them a wealth of experience and a commitment to your well-being. At LANE, we pride ourselves on being a cheerful, person-centered, and occasionally challenging day service provider. We believe in

working hand-in-hand with our clients and their families to deliver the highest quality of care. Our mission at LANE is to empower each client with the skills, confidence, and expertise needed to reach their individual goals and aspirations, no matter how big or small. Making Music Together at LANE! 🎶

Our clients at Lifelong Ability North East had a fantastic time getting involved in our music session, with opportunities to play both guitar and drums.

Music sessions like this give our clients the chance to learn new skills, build confidence, express themselves and work together in a fun and supportive environment.

At LANE, we believe it’s important that our clients have opportunities to explore new interests and take part in activities that are meaningful to them. Learning and playing instruments can open up new experiences, encourage creativity and most importantly, bring people together.

It was brilliant to see everyone getting involved, supporting each other and enjoying making music together. 💚

🌟 Exciting Announcement for LANE! 🌟

We’re incredibly proud to share the news that LANE CEO, Danny Wilson, has been shortlisted for Rising Star at the North East Charity Awards 2026. 🎉

The Rising Star category recognises the contribution of emerging leaders across the North East charity sector — and gives the whole LANE team, our supporters and the communities we work alongside another brilliant reason to celebrate.

Danny said:

“It’s a huge honour to be nominated as a Rising Star at the NE Charity Awards, but this is really a celebration of the incredible people behind LANE and the communities we work alongside every day. I’m incredibly proud of what we’re achieving together, and grateful to everyone who continues to believe in what LANE stands for.”

🐰✨ Our LANE clients have been enjoying a little adventure! ✨🐰

We’ve been loving seeing our clients get out and about and enjoy the wonderful Peter Rabbit Tales on the Tyne trail!

With 96 beautifully decorated rabbit sculptures dotted around North Tyneside, there’s so much to discover — from Richardson Dees Park in Wallsend to the coast around Whitley Bay and Tynemouth.

It’s been fantastic to see our clients explore different areas and discovering the sculptures, We’ve found lots of the rabbits already, but there are still a few we need to track down to complete our trail! We’re looking forward to getting back out there and finding the rest. 🐰

Peter Rabbit Tales on the Tyne is running until 14 September 2026, so there’s still plenty of time to join in the fun! 💚

Our clients have now been attending the Tuesday art sessions at North East Art Studio on a regular basis, and they continue to enjoy every visit! 🎨💚

Each week brings a new opportunity to get creative, learn new skills and spend time together in such a welcoming and inclusive environment. It’s been wonderful to see our clients’ confidence grow as they try different activities and create some fantastic pieces of artwork.

A huge thank you to everyone at North East Art Studio for continuing to make us feel so welcome and supported. Your kindness, encouragement and creativity have made these sessions something our clients really look forward to each week.

Another fantastic Thursday 🎶

Every week, our clients at LANE look forward to a brilliant music session at The Meadows Community Centre and it’s wonderful to see the positive impact it continues to have.

Confidence is truly thriving, with clients becoming more involved each week—whether that’s singing in front of a crowd, getting up to dance, playing instruments or simply joining in and embracing the opportunity to express themselves and have fun.

These sessions are about so much more than music. They provide a welcoming space to build confidence, make friendships and have fun. Our staff are seeing each clients individual personality shine through more and more every week, and it’s a privilege to be part of their journey.

Our amazing clients from LANE travelled to South Shields beach to visit Beach Access North East – an incredible organisation dedicated to making the beach accessible and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of their mobility or additional support needs.

Beach Access North East offers its fantastic services completely free of charge, helping to ensure everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the seaside. They provide specialist beach wheelchairs, a wide range of accessible bikes for people of all ages and abilities.

The site also has accessible facilities, including a hoist and changing facilities.

Our clients had an absolutely fantastic time with lots of smiles, laughter and fun from start to finish. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the fresh sea air, exploring the beach, and making special memories together.

What a fantastic day! ☀️

After a busy day at The Parks, hitting the gym, enjoying some archery and playing boccia, our clients made a well-deserved pit stop in the sunshine at GLACÉD DREAMS in North Shields for some delicious ice cream milkshakes on their way back to Lifelong Ability North East.

What a perfect way to round off a fantastic active day 💚
