Today some of the team are practicing their navigation and search skills, parking and then helping people relocate their vehicles!
We are fundraising/car parking at Lamport Hall hall at the Antiques and Collectors Fair. If you're there please give them a smile, have a chat and if you want to make a small donation please ask one of the Team!
We are back tomorrow so if you miss us today - we'll see you on Monday!

Thank you to Gaia SUP & Wellness on the water for their donation of £200 to the team. They ran paddle board safety sessions across August to help give people the self rescue techniques in case they got into difficulty on the water.

Thanks to everyone for donating and attending our self rescue sessions.
I have sent £200 over to Northamptonshire Search and Rescue today!

It was a huge success and instead of running this for a month next year, we aim to do it all over the summer paddle season. It’s a brilliant way to sharpen up your rescue skills and raise money for a great cause.

A huge thank you to the Waendel Walkers Club in Wellingborough for choosing Northamptonshire Search & Rescue as the recipient of their incredibly generous donation for the 2025/26 season. 💙🧡

It was a pleasure meeting some of the club members before their walk and chatting about the work we do at Northamptonshire Search & Rescue, how our volunteers support the community, and what donations like this mean to us.

You were very lucky with the weather too! Despite some rather dramatic-looking clouds, the rain stayed away while plenty seemed to be falling around you. 🌧️🥾

A special thank you to Pete Rickwood, Chairman of Waendel Walkers Club, for presenting the cheque, and to everyone at the club who supported the nomination and helped raise the funds. As a volunteer charity, support like this genuinely makes a difference and helps us maintain our equipment, train our team and remain ready to respond when we're needed.

It was also a real pleasure to meet Anita Neil MBE OLY, one of the club's members and Britain's first Black female Olympian – what an absolute privilege to have her join us for a photo! ❤️

Thank you again to everyone at Waendel Walkers Club for such a warm welcome, a great evening and, most importantly, for supporting our team. We really appreciate it.

We love sharing good news! If you heard BBC Northamptonshire breakfast show at about 7:50 this morning you'll have heard the announcement that we are finalists in Community Group of the Radio Northamptonshire Make A Difference awards!
We are so proud to be nominated along side other amazing volunteers working for the benefit of our county.

Today some of the Team are at the Community Open Day at Wicksteed Park , please come and say hello if you're in the area. It’s another hot week, with our 5th Heat wave and Amber warning, everyone wants to be out enjoying the sun ☀️ (even when its in Eclipse). But take a moment to look out for one another and know the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Keep on the sun screen, wear a hat, and stay hydrated.

Team Callout assist Northamptonshire Police

SEARCH UPDATE: Our team deployed to assist Northamptonshire Police and while forming up received radio calls stating officers had entered the water to rescue the missing person. Team members rapidly made their way to the location and assisted both the casualty and Police officers while awaiting the arrival of the Ambulance services.

These officer are true heroes, we are proud to assist them and other Northamptonshire Police Officers whenever called.

Gaia SUP & Wellness on the water are running 30min Paddle Board safety sessions during August. You'll learn practical skills from experienced, qualified instructors. There are a few spaces left on the courses, with money raised being donated to us.

Whether you're new to paddleboarding or you've been paddling for years, knowing how to get yourself back on your board safely is one of the most valuable skills you can learn.

This practical session is designed to build confidence, improve your safety knowledge, and help you feel more prepared on the water.
Every donation from this session will go directly to Northamptonshire Search and Rescue, supporting the incredible volunteers who give their time to help keep our communities safe.
(Sessions run from 25th July -25th August)
