With the cooler seasons on the horizon, it's important now more than ever to support our local traders who come to our Friday Market and set up shop in the cold! ❄️🛍

Even if it's something small, one purchase helps them sustain their business and keeps the Raunds Friday Market going - thank you to everyone who comes down and supports them. 💙

On the Square today is:

🥩 B Smith Butchers have meat back on the menu! They've got their fantastic selection of meats and fresh produce available for you;

🐟 Paul Fish Man Butts, who has some fantastic fresh fish straight from Grimsby this morning for you to enjoy;

☕️ The Otter's Pocket are here serving absolutely delicious food and drinks... including the fan favourite pumpkin spiced latte for October! 🎃

PLEASE NOTE: Our lovely greengrocer, Max Fresh, is not here this week, but don't fret! You'll be able to nab some fresh fruit and veg from him next week! 🥦🙌

📍 Raunds Town Square

Pop down and enjoy some fantastic produce from independent traders! 🙌

It's fantastic seeing the speed awareness stickers on wheelie bins throughout Raunds 🙌

These stickers are a great visual reminder to motorists to drive safely and to stick to the speed limit along roads. It is believed that temporary, community-based signs of this nature have a greater effect than more permanent signs.

Anyone in Raunds is eligible to pick up a sticker for their bin - just pop into the Town Hall between 9:30am-2:30pm Mon-Fri and ask for a Speedwatch sticker.

Want to go the extra mile and volunteer as part of our Community Speedwatch Group to help keep our roads safer? Please email [email protected] for further information.

Raunds Town Council is saddened to learn of the recent passing of Dave Jones.

Dave was a valued friend and close associate of the Council, working for North Pole Productions to help deliver many of the events that brought joy to our residents over the years.

Much of Dave’s work happened behind the scenes, but his contribution was felt by many. From providing staging, sound and lighting, Halloween Party decorations and the much-loved Christmas Grotto, Dave played an important part in bringing our community events to life and creating special memories for families.

We are immensely grateful to Dave for his hard work, dedication and all that he gave to our town. He will be remembered with great affection and appreciation by everyone who had the pleasure of working with him.

Last week, the Mayor of Raunds, Cllr Bill Cross, was delighted to present a £500 cheque to Raunds Temperance Brass Band on behalf of Raunds Town Council.

The grant will contribute towards venue hire costs at Saxon Hall, where the band holds its weekly rehearsals. By helping to support these costs, the Council is pleased to assist a valued local organisation in continuing its musical activities and performances.
