🌻 Inspiring the next generation to get Raunds blooming! 🌻

We’ve partnered with Windmill Primary School to donate 400 sunflower kits to students, which will be used to brighten up the school grounds and London Road Cemetery.

If they can do it, so can you! To help the whole community to join in, we’re giving away FREE sunflower seeds to residents. It’s the perfect, hands-on half-term activity to help beautify the town and feed local wildlife! 🐝🐦

👇 How to get your FREE seeds:
• 📍 Pick up: Pop into the Town Hall (Mon–Fri, 9:30am – 2:30pm. Closed Bank Holiday Monday).
• 🌱 Grow: Plant them in your garden and watch them soar.
• 📸 Share: Email your photos and final heights to [email protected]!

👇 Tag a neighbour who needs to grab their seeds! 👇

At the Annual Meeting of Raunds Town Council held on Tuesday 19 May 2026, Councillor Bill Cross was elected as Mayor of Raunds.

His wife, Marilyn Cross, will serve as Consort for the civic year. The Mayor will be proudly supporting two outstanding causes during his civic year: East Northants First Responders, whose volunteers provide vital emergency care in our community, and Prostate Cancer UK, which leads the fight against one of the most common cancers affecting men.

A vote of thanks was given to the outgoing Mayor, Councillor Richard Levell, who was presented with his Past Mayor’s Medal in recognition of his dedicated service. During his Mayoral year 2025-26, Councillor Levell raised a remarkable £4,500 for his chosen charity, Race Against Dementia - a truly commendable achievement.

Councillor Adam Fernley was elected as Deputy Mayor.

What an incredible day we had at Bassfords Recreation Ground for the 2026 Raunds Mayor's Show! Despite cloudy skies, the rain held off, allowing residents to come together and enjoy an afternoon of community fun.

From the wonderful opening performances by our local primary school students to the arena displays by the Bordertrix Ultimate Dog Show and the English School of Falconry, the energy lasted from start to finish. Storm in a Tea Cup Circus brought incredible magic to the event with their fantastic workshops, bubble displays and brilliant arena shows. Our headline Take That tribute had the crowd singing along to every pop anthem, while the children's races and Tug of War brought out everyone's competitive spirit.

A massive thank you to town councillors and staff, volunteers, stallholders, and of course, everyone in the community who came out to support the event.
