A Lovely Review from Our Wildlife Champion Conservation Workshop! 🐝🦋

We love hearing from people who take part in our activities, and it was wonderful to receive such positive feedback following our Wildlife Champion Conservation Workshop at Old Town Quarry.

This August, children aged 7–14 can join our FREE Wildlife Champions Conservation Workshops at Old Town Quarry, where they'll get hands-on with practical conservation activities and discover how small actions can make a big difference for local wildlife.

🌿 They'll:
🏡 Learn about bird boxes, bug hotels and hedgehog homes
♻️ Turn scrap and recycled materials into wildlife-friendly creations
🌼 Discover which flowers and shrubs support birds, bees and butterflies
📋 Take home simple plans to create their own wildlife havens at home

By helping young people connect with nature today, we're helping to protect it for tomorrow. 🌱

👥 Small group sessions (maximum 10 children)

🦇 WHAT AN AMAZING NIGHT AT OLD TOWN QUARRY! 🦇

We had such a brilliant time last night on our Bat Walk with the fantastic Steve England! 🌙🔦

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us – it was wonderful to see so many people out exploring the quarry at dusk and discovering more about the bats that call the quarry their home. 🦇💚

We’re always looking for friendly, enthusiastic people to join our volunteer team at the Old Town Quarry.

We currently have two roles available up at the quarry:

🛍️ Shop Volunteer – Help out in the shop, welcome customers and support the day-to-day running of this lovely community space.

👋 Meet & Greet Volunteer – Be a friendly face for visitors, offer a warm welcome and help people get the most out of their visit by teaching them all about the nature and wildlife we are so lucky to have up at the quarry.
