You just can’t beat a good old-fashioned board game to keep us busy, engaged and having fun together! 😊

We’ve been enjoying a game of Rummikub, with plenty of concentration, strategy and, of course, a little friendly competition! 🧩🏆

🏆🔴🔵 The Great Wellford Games Have Arrived! 🔵🔴

It’s competition time at Wellford Gardens! 🎉 This week, we’ve all been split into two teams, Team Red 🔴 vs Team Blue 🔵 Every day we’ll be going head-to-head in a whole host of fun challenges!

The excitement will build throughout the week, with the ultimate showdown taking place on Saturday! 🏆

Keep an eye on the tally in our bistro to see how the teams are getting on and who is taking the lead! 👀📊

And the best part? Everyone can get involved! Residents, staff, volunteers, families and friends are all invited to join in and cheer their team on. ❤️

🚴‍♀️🏔️ Virtual Cycling Adventure! 🏔️🚴‍♂️

This week, we’ve been taking a virtual journey through the beautiful Swiss Alps, all from the comfort of our armchairs! 😍

Our residents enjoyed cycling along to the stunning scenery, surrounded by the sounds and sights of the mountains. 🏔️🌲 The sensory experience made it feel like we were really there, exploring the Swiss countryside as we pedalled along from our chairs! 🚴‍♀️💨

Who says you need to leave the comfort of your armchair to enjoy an adventure? 😉❤️

We’re so lucky to have lovely little breakaway areas throughout our home, giving our residents the perfect spaces to relax, socialise and enjoy their favourite activities. ❤️

Lovely to see a small group gathered in our lovely bistro area to enjoy the Formula 1! 🏎️🍿☕️

There’s nothing better than a little friendly sporting excitement, good company and a cosy space to enjoy it all! 🥰

Thank you to our manager this week for filling our staff room with lots of lovely goodies for everyone to enjoy during their breaks! 🥰🍪🧃

Our staff are such a wonderful bunch and truly deserve a few little pick-me-ups. Keeping hydrated and having a tasty snack is definitely the way to our hearts! 😋💧🍫

🌮Join Us for a Mexican Fiesta!🌮

We’re delighted to welcome visitors to our September event — a fabulous Mexican Fiesta! 🎉

Join us on the 17th September from 5pm for some delicious, authentic Mexican food, followed by a fantastic Mariachi band performance from 6pm! 🎶💃

It’s set to be a fun-filled evening of great food, music and wonderful company, and we’d love to celebrate with you!

🎩🐰 A Very Merry Mad Hatter’s Tea Party! 🫖🍰

Charlotte hosted a fantastic Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, starting with a morning full of creativity, laughter and, of course, cake making and decorating! 🎂✨

Our residents had great fun getting creative with their cakes before helping to transform our bistro into a magical Alice in Wonderland wonderland! 🌸🫖🎀

Then it was time to put on our party hats and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon tea, with lots of delicious treats, smiles and wonderful company. 🥰

To make the afternoon even more magical, we enjoyed watching Alice in Wonderland on the big screen in our bistro — the perfect way to finish our Mad Hatter celebrations! 🎬🐇💫

A huge thank you to Charlotte for organising such a wonderfully imaginative day. We certainly went down the rabbit hole and had a fantastic time! ❤️

A little late-morning tea on the balcony for our residents this morning ☕️🌿💛

Have you seen our amazing picturesque scenery? 😍 We are so lucky to enjoy such stunning views over Wheatley, Denton and Cuddesdon right from our home.

There really is something special about being surrounded by such beautiful countryside and enjoying a peaceful cuppa together in the sunshine. ☀️🌾

We feel incredibly lucky to be part of this wonderful village and to share these little moments with our residents. ❤️
