I promised to renew this Party.

After our worst defeat ever, I said we would rebuild. Today, we can see the signs of that starting across our country - including here in Bexley.

I have been inspired by the work of our members, candidates and supporters who have been knocking on doors, delivering leaflets and making calls.

To those who stood and did not win, I am sorry. I wish you were celebrating with us today, but I want you to know this is only the beginning.

I’m proud, and lucky, to lead such a great team of people.

Thank you for every conversation, every hour volunteered and every effort made as we fight for a stronger Conservative future.
