🌧️🎉 PARTY IN THE PARK IS STILL GOING AHEAD! 🎉🌧️

The forecast may be a little soggy, but we’re not letting the rain spoil our fun! Grab your waterproofs, bring a camping chair and join us for a fantastic afternoon in Wigton Park.

There’ll be plenty of entertainment, music and family fun—so come prepared for the Great British weather and enjoy the party! ☔🎶🥳

🚗 Parking Arrangements - Party in the Park 🎶🎶

Unfortunately, there will be no parking available in Wigton Park.

Please be respectful of the neighbouring properties near the park and don't block access or driveways.

Parking is available at Barton Laws which is a short walk from Wigton Park. There is also some on street parking on West Road.

🌧️ The forecast may be a little damp, but we’re not letting that spoil the fun! We’ll have a limited number of camping chairs available for a donation, along with rain ponchos for adults and children.

🚴‍♀️🎉 THE WOMEN’S TOUR OF BRITAIN IS COMING THROUGH WIGTON TOMORROW! 🎉🚴‍♀️

Join us from 1pm as we get ready to give the riders a fantastic Wigton welcome!

The riders will travel down West Road from Greenacres, around the Fountain and all the way up the High Street—so find a safe spot along the route and help us cheer them on! 📣

Wigton Town Council will be joining Nadt Cumbria and local volunteers at the Fountain, where we’ll be handing out flags and whistles and playing music to help create a brilliant atmosphere. 🎶🚩

Don’t forget the Nadt Cumbria competition! Thanks to Futamura, prizes will be awarded for:

🌈 Most colourful outfit
🎨 Best Welcome to Wigton sign
🙌 Best team spirit
🏠 Best decorated house
📣 Best noisemaker

Bring your family and friends, wear your brightest colours and help us make Wigton the loudest and most colourful stop on the route!

🚴‍♀️ THE WOMEN’S TOUR OF BRITAIN IS COMING THROUGH WIGTON! 🚴‍♀️

📅 Wednesday 19 August
⏰ From 1pm, cyclists will be coming from Greenacres end of town along West Road, turning right at the Fountain up the High Street and then on towards Caldbeck.

Let’s give the riders a fantastic Cumbrian welcome and make Wigton the loudest and most colourful stop on the route! 🎉

Wear bright colours, create a Welcome to Wigton banner and bring something to make plenty of noise — drums, tambourines, horns, pots and pans, or simply your loudest cheer! 📣🥁 we will be handing out free whistles etc but you are welcome to bring anything you have that makes a noise!

🌻Allotment Harvest Festival🌻

Join us at the Longthwaite Road allotment site on Saturday 5th September, from 1pm-3pm, for an afternoon celebrating local growing, community and good fun.

There will be:

🌱Cumbria Master Composters
🏆Lots of competitions to enter

🌟Looking for free activities for children during the school holidays?

Cumberland Council's Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme offers eligible children a range of activities, including sports, music, arts and crafts, together with a nutritious meal.

Children receiving free school meals are eligible, while places may also be available for some other children and young people.

Several events are available locally, including an active session led by Active Cumbria at Wigton Park (Greenacres) on Wednesday 5 August.
