Planning to cool off in the water during the heatwave? Listen to RNLI lifeguard Erin…
- Visit a lifeguarded beach
- Swim between the red and yellow flags
- If you get into trouble in the water,
- If you see anyone in difficulty, call 999 or 112 and ask for the coastguard
Enjoy the coast, but do so safely 💙

Community Orchard Update! 🌳🍒

The sunny weather is certainly benefiting the fruit trees in our Community Orchard this year.

This Mirabelle Golden Sphere Cherry Plum tree is absolutely loaded with fruit and is looking particularly healthy. If the warm weather continues, the golden-yellow plums should be ready for harvesting in late August.

Fruit trees not only provide food for people and wildlife, but also help create a beautiful and biodiverse space for everyone to enjoy.

Have you spotted any of the developing fruit around the orchard yet?

Being able to swim is not enough. Make sure your child knows the risks around open water.
Here’s the reality:
❗You can’t see what’s under the water. Rocks, drops, currents - it’s not worth guessing.
🏊Cold water hits HARD. Even strong swimmers can panic and lose control.
💨Inflatables are not safe in open water. One gust of wind and you’re gone - fast.
👬Pressure isn't friendship. Real mates don’t push you into danger.
Speak Up. Be a Mate

Many incidents happen in everyday situations. Know the risks!

Vandalism to our Community Speed Indicator Device!
Unfortunately, our Speed Indicator Device (SID) has recently been vandalised, with the connecting wires deliberately cut.

These devices are installed to help slow vehicles down and improve road safety in our community, so it is extremely disappointing to see them damaged in this way.

If you have any information about who may be responsible, please contact Corfe Mullen Town Council or report it directly to Dorset Police.
Let’s work together to protect the equipment that helps keep our community safe.
