Three years after building the replica Phoenician ship “Phoenicia” and circumnavigating Africa a new expedition is being planned. This time to sail Phoenicia from the Mediterranean to the Americas to illustrate that the Phoenicians (as the greatest ancient seafarers) had the capabilities and skills to cross the Atl

antic two thousand years before Columbus. Crossing the Atlantic is an ambitious challenge as the Atlantic winds and storms are powerful and unforgiving for any sailor. However, it is a quest that demands to be attempted in order to answer one of history’s most important questions: who were the first sailors to discover the Americas?

Esta vez con la intención de navegar Fenicia desde el Mediterráneo hasta el continente americano para ilustrar que los fenicios (los más grandes navegantes antiguos) tenían las capacidades y habilidades para cruzar el Atlántico dos mil años antes de Colón. Cruzar el Atlántico es un ambicioso reto, ya que los vientos y las tormentas del Atlántico son poderosos e implacables para cualquier marinero. Sin embargo, es una misión que merece ser llevada a cabo con el fin de responder a una de las preguntas más importantes de la historia: ¿Quienes fueron los primeros navegantes en descubrir las Américas?

Desta vez, o Phoenicia irá navegar desde o Mediterrâneo até as Américas para ilustrar que os fenícios (como os maiores navegadores antigos) tinham a capacidade e habilidade para atravessar o Atlântico dois mil anos antes de Colombo. Cruzar o Atlântico é um desafio ambicioso já que seus ventos e tempestades são poderosos e implacáveis para qualquer marinheiro. No entanto, é uma missão necessária a fim de responder uma das questões mais importantes da história: quem foram os primeiros marinheiros a descobrir as Américas?

Expédition transatlantique visant à prouver que les Phéniciens pourraient avoir atteint les Amériques environ 2000 ans avant Christophe Colomb.Trois ans après la construction de la réplique de navire phénicien "Phoenicia" ayant contourné l'Afrique, une nouvelle expédition est prévue. Il s’agit cette fois de naviguer « Phoenicia » de la mer Méditerranée jusqu’aux Amériques pour prouver que les Phéniciens (meilleurs marins des temps anciens) avaient la capacité et les compétences nécessaires pour traverser l'Atlantique deux mille ans avant Christophe Colomb. Traverser l'Atlantique est un défi ambitieux tenant compte des vents puissants et tempêtes impitoyables aux marins. Cependant, c’est une quête qui exige d'être tentée afin de répondre à l’une des questions les plus importantes de l'histoire: qui étaient les premiers marins à découvrir les Amériques?
