Creamfields returns to Daresbury next week!

If you're heading to the festival, plan your journey and allow extra travel time, as roads will be busier than usual and diversions will be in place.

Enjoy the music but make it memorable for the right reasons – officers will be visible in and around the site to help keep everyone safe, with specialist search teams working in the lead up to the event.

This year will also see retrospective facial recognition technology being used at the festival. You can find out more about how this works on our website - https://orlo.uk/LQFsv

There’s also a page set up with useful information for nearby residents to the site – https://orlo.uk/jwvl7

Following public demand (and by public demand, we mean everyone commenting about the dog)...

We thought we would share more footage of the real star of the show.

No sirens. No dramatic chases. Just one very good boy and one officer making sure he knows it 🐶 💙

17/08/2026

Charles Foy fled from police on his e-scooter leaving behind his four-legged companion in the process.

Being the loyal boy he was, the dog proceeded to make his way home whilst officers followed closely behind.

The dog led our officers straight to Foy's front door where he was then found 'sleeping' in his loft.

Foy has been jailed for 3 months and banned from driving for four years and three months after being found guilty of failing to stop for police, driving whilst disqualified, using a motor vehicle without insurance and failing to provide a drug test.

Fraud warning | On Wednesday 12 August, officers were contacted by a 28-year-old man who told them he believed he had been a victim of fraud, stating that he received a phone call from a number that appeared to match one used by officers from Chester Local Policing Unit.

The caller introduced themselves as an officer from the Constabulary and told the victim their card had been fraudulently used and provided the victim with a fake crime record number.

The suspect then persuaded the victim to purchase £1000 worth of Tesco gift cards and to then requested they provide the ‘officer’ with their details and redemption numbers as part of the police investigation.

Following this incident, the force’s Economic Crime Unit is reminding the public that genuine officers from Cheshire Constabulary will never call and ask for money or bank details and to remain vigilant if they contacted by anyone claiming to be a serving Police Officer:

- Scammers have a number of sophisticated tools at their disposal that can make their calls seem genuine to victims, leading them to believe that they are engaging with a reputable and trustworthy organisation.

- Genuine police officers will never contact you and ask you to provide them with any bank details, redeem gift cards or put money aside to be collected by a courier later.

- Remain calm during situations like this, scammers put a lot of pressure on victims, creating a sense of urgency that actions need to be completed as soon as possible – this is yet another sign that who you are talking to is not genuine.

If you have any concerns regarding that who you are speaking to is not a genuine police officer, hang up, call 101 and ask the operator to verify their identity and any details they may have provided you with.

While the weather is now starting to cool down, the ground remains dry, so the risk of fires from things like disposable BBQs is still very real. Please be mindful and act responsibly.
