This June, we begin with Young Refugee Fostering Awareness Week, leading up to World Refugee Day on 20 June.
Across the world, millions of people have been forced to flee their homes in search of safety — including children who arrive in the UK alone, without parents or family.
Many have experienced loss, uncertainty, and long, dangerous journeys — but they also bring resilience, courage and hope for a better future.
This week, we’re raising awareness of their experiences, challenging common myths, and highlighting the life-changing role foster carers play in helping young people feel safe, supported and able to rebuild their lives.
💛 Because every young person deserves not just safety — but somewhere to belong.
