Carers’ have your say!
To improve the support and services that we offer to local carers, adults and young people who care, we have launched two consultations asking for your views as to what support and services are working well, where there needs to be improvements and to help us identified gaps in support across the borough.

Your views are invaluable to us and will help us develop a three-year carers’ strategy which will set out how the council will deliver services for carers.

The questionnaires are available on line:

Adult carers’ questionnaire:

Young carers’ questionnaire:

Over the past couple of weeks we’ve held three staff workshops and a public event to get our staff, elected members, partner agencies, customers and carers talking about the Care Act. In particular we’ve been having conversations about the Department of Health’s public consultation on the draft Care Act Guidance and regulations.
And the level of interest in putting forward views and ideas on the Act has been incredibly high with over 130 people attending these events. Thank you all for your contributions.
