We loved hearing you and your little one's stories at our project celebration event! Here is a story from a caregiver👇

"I think my favourite memory is the fact that she is so happy to come - always so excited, she is really really excited by it. All the people working are like family. Always very kind, always very engaged and trying to play with the kids.
There’s many many good memories." 🌼

Do you have a special memory or moment to share about when you've come to play with us? Share it with us through our short survey, we'd love to hear your special stories! 👉 https://forms.gle/3eZ1DE1sYy8bhAQ4A

When your little one makes lines, swirls, and shapes, they’re beginning to understand that marks can have meaning!

🧠Mark making or drawing helps support learning and development!
✍It's great for developing fine motor skills and hand strength!
🎨Mark making encourages creativity and imagination every doodle could be a dragon, rainbow, or treasure map!
🖍 Mark making is one of the first steps in learning to write

Why not grab some chalk and join your little one on the pavement or playground? It’s a simple way to play!

This week's is inspired by our Heuristic Play corner at Play Cafe!

🔎What can you find around the home (safe, supervised and washed!) that your little one can explore? Wooden spoons, metal cups, fabric scraps, brushes, pegs, and more!

These open-ended resources spark curiosity and allow children to discover textures, sounds, weights, and movements. 🥄

✨Heuristic Play simply means involving and nurturing the natural curiosity of a child through exploring everyday sensory objects.

Heuristic play good for babies because it encourages independent thinking, builds fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination and provides a calm, mindful play experience 🐺

For today's we are talking about moving our bodies!

Moving our bodies is great for our little one's development and wellbeing, whether it's running, climbing, crawling, skipping and jumping outdoors, or dancing indoors 🤸

Taking a walk with friends is a great and simple ways to spend playing outdoors and having fun!

FunFacts❗️
Playing outdoors encourages physical activity, developing motor skills, balance, coordination, and supports overall wellbeing for caregivers and little ones💛

🌳Join us to play this week at Play in the Park on Tuesday at Ward Street Park, and Thursday at Warstones Green, 10.00-12.00 & 12.00-2.00 - www.wolvesplaycafe.org/playinthepark/
