Gosh, what a busy year we’ve had and we’ve still got bookings all through December.

The Shippen calander for 2022 is up and on our website if your thinking about a peaceful break, with lots of lovely walks and beaches to explore. We’re dog friendly with a lovely field for them to run around. We also have lots of pubs and restaurants close by that are also dog friendly.

We now have an electric car charger should you need it.

Our exciting news is that The Threshing Barn will be opening in April. It’ll sleep 6 people and it has stunning views across the valley. Hopefully I’ll have some photos to show you in January.

Just spent 2 days as a lumberjack

What a difference a day makes.... the first photo was taken on Friday morning, the sea mist stayed with us until lunchtime.
Yesterday we had gale force winds and horizontal rain !
Today the sun has come out 😊

If you look closely at the Longbarn (behind the Shippen to the left) you can just see the scaffolding and the lovely new roof with velux windows. Fingers crossed the weather stays kind and we can finish slating the extension roof over the next few weeks.

Snow stopped work on barns

Mixed emotions this morning.
It’s a beautiful clear sunny morning
BUT......there’s a grass frost😲
Oh no, winter is on its way!!!!!!!!!

I’ve just popped into The Shippen where it’s lovely and cosy with the underfloor heating on.
We’re still booked up with lots of couples and their dogs coming to stay and enjoy lots of home comforts.
We have a few vacancies in October but plenty of dates to choose in November and December if you fancy a weekend break.

WOW what a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend. We couldn’t of asked for better weather, and the thunder storm was over night.
