Wrexham Zine Library

Wrexham Zine Library Find us in Wrexham School of Art & Design, open to students Mon-Fri, 10am to 4pm or by appointment. Wrexham Zine Library (WZL) is a not for profit zine archive.

If you’re new to zines, think of them as homemade magazines. That helps with the pronunciation too! Zines take many forms - from fanzines about favourite sports teams, bands or tv shows, to personal diaries, poetry collections, photo essays and comix. (With much more besides!)

Our collection has a broad scope, but we are especially invested in preserving zines by north Wales based creators, and i

n collecting football fanzines from across the leagues. The oldest zine in our collection is from 1988.

We have an online shop now!
https://wxmzinelibrary.bigcartel.com/
So if you missed us at Wales Artists' Book Fair, Liverpool Artists' Book Fair or at Zine Station - you can still order our Posters 4 Palestine zine! We're raising money for our friend Mansour and his family in Gaza. They are in an extremely urgent and vulnerable situation right now and we would love to sell out of zines so that we can gift them a significant donation.

We're back! It's our Bullet Journal Zine Making Social on Wednesday 29th January (6 - 8pm).
For this month’s zine making social, we’ll be making some bullet journal inspired zines to help us blow out the new year cobwebs, see some face to face humans and (maybe) forgive ourselves for 2025 plans already gone a bit wrong.

Thanks as ever to PW Gyrfaoedd a Chyflogadwyedd/ WU Careers and Employability for supporting these sessions.

Who is Miss Heather?

Miss Heather (Wilson, if you were wondering) is a north Wales based comics creator, illustrator and zinester. Fuelled by punk rock and science podcasts, Miss Heather’s work is personal, political, and usually in zingy pastels. Heather has been working in the overlap between the arts and education for five years and is currently Ty Pawb’s Volunteer Coordinator. Book Miss Heather for: - Zine Workshops - Comics Making Workshops - Arts engagement projects for children and young people - Socially engaged or educational comics, illustration or graphic design work

Heather knows that you're meant to say something rye about being uncomfortable writing in third person, but actually she's got the self-esteem to entirely own it. For enquiries related to Ty Pawb please e-mail: [email protected] For quotes and collaboration enquiries for comics and illustration projects you can message this page. =)
