We have had a mixed start to the holiday season.
A lot of grant funded sculptures, improved bike park ,Rain gardens ,insect hotels and our well photographed Wrecsam insect hotel.
Can I say a big thank you to all who have been very respectful of our parks .But unfortunately we have had quite a few serious incidents.
Our lower car park closes at 5 pm very well sign posted and thanks to all who move their cars to either the top car park or make your way home.Our gate has had the chain cut off,the lock broke twice and the actual gate taken off.Costing us time and money to repair and replace.
Both Toilet doors have been kicked and broken....yet again more cost.
A large fire that the fire brigade said they were lucky they caught in time.
Haribo sweets fed to the animals while laughing when being asked not to.
2 life buoys thrown those again not cheap to replace. BBQs scorching on numerous parts of the park.
We are a very small team and all try our best to keep the parks at their best for all your enjoyment.Once again it will be the minority and we thank the majority.

The Ty Mawr 40 Year Celebrations Carnival Queen Competition is now open for entries.

We are looking for:

👑 Carnival Queen – Ages 16–35
👑 2 x Princesses – Ages 10–15
👑 Prince – Ages 5–11
🌸 2 x Flower Girls – Ages 3–9

📍 Judging will take place at George Edwards Hall
🗓️ June 20th 2026
⏰ 3:00pm – 5:00pm

📅 Closing date for entries: May 31st 2026

All successful entrants will go on to be part of the fantastic Ty Mawr 40th Birthday Celebration Event at Ty Mawr on July 19th 2026. 🎉

Can we please ask the public not to give the rabbits and Guinea pigs lettuce as it makes them very poorly .We have got signs up .We have found a lot in the pens but they have obviously eaten a load.Hopefuly they will be ok but we know we will have a lot of pooey bums which we and them could do without .

Has anyone got any soft toys / teddies that they are getting rid of for fundraising towards the animal upkeep at Ty Mawr .We can pick up or you can drop off at Ty Mawr .We would be very grateful Thank you x

Wrexham country parks are celebrating Easter this year in 4 of its Parks
Lots of activities and Easter bonnet decorating where you can enter our free competition at Ty Mawr on Easter Sunday with a prize for everyone
