7TH DECEMBER, 2021.
MESSAGE FROM HON. ELIKPLIM AKURUGU, 2020 PARLIAMENTARY CANDIDATE – DOME - KWABENYA CONSTITUENCY.
I wish to express my profound appreciation to everyone who made time to attend the final funeral rites of my late father, Faustinus Rosiyah Anam, at Adina over the weekend. I am humbled and greatly inspired by the love and support you have shown me all this while.
As you may well know, today marks the first year of the controversial 2020 General Elections; the most militarized elections yet in this Fourth Republic. Despite the many challenges, the results of our constituency is one that we should be proud of. The gains we chalked, increasing our votes from 30,099 in 2016 to 50,093 in 2020 and 29,392 in 2016 to 52,531 in 2020 for both the Presidential and Parliamentary candidates, is indicative of our collective tireless efforts we contributed towards the elections. This gives us an end in sight for annexing this seat in any future elections.
Like I have always intimated, I remain eternally grateful for your support and contributions. This would not have been possible without your hard work, dedication and commitment to the course of the great NDC.
Finally, I want to use this opportunity to reiterate the call for unity in our constituency. Let me emphasize this call by quoting the gospel according to Mark, chapter 3 verse 25; *”and if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.”* I am very certain that, with a united front, oneness of purpose and by deploying the right strategies, we can collectively make history by consolidating our gains and annexing this seat for the NDC in any future elections.
Kindly have my best assurances and resolve to ensure the success of the NDC in the Dome – Kwabenya Constituency.
Yours in the NDC,
SIGNED.
HON, ELIKPLIM AKURUGU,
2020 NDC PARLIAMENTARY CANDIDATE,
DOME – KWABENYA CONSTITUENCY
