You Passed the Tests… But Who Gets Selected? | Ghana Security Recruitment – PART 2

Description:
You pay to apply. You write the exams. You pass screening and medicals.

But is that enough?

In Part 2, we continue our conversation about Ghana’s security recruitment system and ask one uncomfortable question:

Does merit alone determine who gets selected?

With thousands of young Ghanaians competing for limited positions, questions about fairness, equal opportunity and what happens behind the formal recruitment process deserve serious discussion.

Watch, think, and share your perspective.

Ghana Wants to Teach Mandarin & Arabic… But What About Our Deaf Citizens?

The debate over introducing foreign languages such as Mandarin and Arabic into Ghana’s education system has raised an important question about our priorities.

For me, there is another language we should be seriously considering:

SIGN LANGUAGE.

We have deaf children, parents, siblings, colleagues, entrepreneurs and professionals among us.

Yet the majority of Ghanaians cannot communicate with them.

What if every child in Ghanaian schools learned basic sign language?

What if tomorrow’s doctors, nurses, teachers, police officers, lawyers, politicians and public servants could communicate directly with deaf citizens?

This isn’t about rejecting Mandarin or Arabic.

It’s about inclusion and priorities.

We want our children to communicate with the world and that is good.

But shouldn’t they also be able to communicate with people who are already living beside them?

What do you think? Should basic sign language be introduced into Ghana’s schools?

Ghanaians Fight over GH¢15 Chicken… Should We Really Be Laughing?
The GH¢15 KFC chicken promotion was supposed to be a celebration.
Instead, we saw people sleeping outside branches, massive queues, overcrowding and scenes that left many people wondering:

“What is happening to us?”

At first, I laughed too.

But then I started thinking.

If GH¢15 can create this kind of desperation, what does that tell us about the financial situation of ordinary Ghanaians?

Maybe the KFC incident wasn’t really about chicken.

Maybe it was about hunger, unemployment, purchasing power and the cost of living.

In this video, I take a deeper look at what happened and propose some practical ways Ghana could address food insecurity — including food-rescue systems and properly managed community food centres.

Watch and tell me honestly: Are we laughing at the wrong thing?

You Passed the Exams… But Is Merit Really Enough? 🇬🇭 | Security Recruitment in Ghana — PART 1
You apply.
You pay.
You write the exams.
You go through screening.
You do the medicals.
Then you wait.
But is that really the whole story of getting into Ghana’s security services?
In this Part 1, I share my personal experience applying to the Ghana Immigration Service in 2021 and question the fairness, cost and transparency of Ghana’s security recruitment system.
With hundreds of thousands of applicants competing for a limited number of positions, not everyone can be selected.
But the question is:
Does everyone have the same opportunity to be selected?
And if merit is supposed to be the foundation, what happens when the formal recruitment process ends?
PART 2 takes us into the uncomfortable conversation about connections, protocol and influence.
Watch, share and let me know your experience

Gen Z is drinking less alcohol… but what are they drinking instead? 🤔

A report says the global alcohol industry has lost around $830 billion in market value, with changing drinking habits among younger consumers being one of the factors.

But when I look around Africa, I’m asking myself:

Which Gen Z? 😂

South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya and many other countries still have young people enjoying their weekends in clubs.

So I decided to dig deeper.

And here’s my personal observation:

Maybe Gen Z isn’t simply becoming healthier.

Maybe we’re moving from BITTER to SWEET.

Less alcohol…

But more energy drinks, soft drinks, sweetened coffee, bubble tea and other sugary beverages?

I’m not saying sugar has replaced alcohol. That’s my observation and opinion, and I could be wrong.

But it raises an interesting question:

Are we actually becoming healthier, or are we simply changing the flavour of our unhealthy habits?

Watch the full conversation and tell me what you’re seeing among young people in your country.

👇 Is Gen Z drinking less where you live?

Ladies and gentlemen, in Uganda, marriage is not for the weak!
Imagine budgeting for 15 cows, millions in cash, gifts and other traditional requirements just to marry the woman you love.

No wonder President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni recently asked:
“Why are you selling your children?”

Should culture evolve with the times, or should traditions remain untouched?

Watch my full take and let’s have an honest African conversation.

📌 Do you think bride price has become too expensive in some African societies?

👇 Let’s discuss respectfully.

Ghana’s politics may never be the same again.
The Supreme Court has ruled that the delegate system used by political parties is unconstitutional.

Does this strengthen democracy by giving every party member a vote, or will it create new logistical and financial challenges?
Watch my analysis and let’s have an intelligent conversation.
