Creative Arts Foundation Pays Courtesy Call on Goosie Tanoh, Explores 24-Hour Economy Opportunities

The leadership of the Creative Arts Foundation paid a courtesy call on the Presidential Advisor on the 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Programme, Goosie Tanoh, on Wednesday, 23rd September 2026.

The Foundation, which has a nationwide membership of over 300, was represented by a delegation that included renowned Ghallywood actress Christian Awuni. Other members of the delegation were chairman of the group, Haruna Seidu Soalizoree and Evans Kumi Wadewor as vice chairperson.

The visit is part of ongoing engagement between the creative arts sector and government to explore opportunities and strengthen the sector’s participation in the SHOW24 sub-programme under the 24-Hour Economy agenda.

SHOW24 seeks to leverage Ghana’s creative industries, tourism assets and national identity to drive exports, support community development and amplify Ghanaian storytelling.

Both parties expressed commitment to continued dialogue and collaboration going forward.

UK Trade Commissioner Pays Courtesy Call on Presidential Adviser, 24-Hour Economy

A 10-member delegation led by His Majesty's UK Trade Commissioner for Africa, Alastair Long, on Wednesday, August 23 paid a courtesy call on Presidential Adviser on the 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development programme, Goosie Tanoh as part of Mr. Long's first official visit to Africa in his new role.

The engagement forms part of efforts to advance the UK-Ghana Growth Partnership, launched in London in June 2026, and to translate that commitment into practical commercial opportunities. Discussions centred on Ghana's industrialisation agenda, the 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development programmes, and emerging UK-Ghana investment opportunities.

The visit builds momentum ahead of the upcoming UK-Ghana Trade and Investment Forum 2026, organised by the UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce (UKGCC) in partnership with the UK Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade with support from the UK-Ghana Jobs and Economic Transformation (JET) Programme, taking place in Accra from 23–25 September 2026.

24-Hour Economy has presented six strategic industrial projects as opportunities for private-sector investment in Ghana’s productive economy.

Speaking at the opening of the 9th Ghana Industries Association Summit and Exhibition 2026, Chief Partnership Officer Dr. Ishmael Doodo called on investors to partner with government to advance projects including the Legon Pharmaceutical Innovation Park, Volta Economic Corridor and Kumasi Machinery and Technology Park.

The projects are part of efforts to expand Ghana’s productive capacity, create jobs and strengthen the country’s position as an export-oriented economy.

The 24-Hour Economy joined the opening of GGFS 2026, an 11-day celebration of Ghana’s garden and flower industry themed “Green Means Business, Beauty and More.”

Speaking at the opening, Presidential Adviser Augustus Tanoh highlighted the opportunity to build a stronger horticulture industry by connecting what we grow to processing, logistics and markets.

The 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Programme Secretariat joined the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, and other dignitaries at Savelugu to celebrate the commissioning of the Northshore Apparel Hub, the largest industrial facility in the Northern Region.

The facility is expected to create employment opportunities for approximately 10,000 people in the northern part of the country while making a significant contribution to the growth and development of Ghana’s textile and apparel industry.

This landmark investment represents a major step towards creating sustainable jobs for the youth, advancing industrialisation, and boosting economic development.

At the programme, the Presidential Advisor on the 24-Hour Economy, Mr. Augustus Goosie Tanoh, announced plans to establish the Northshore Industrial Hub in the community as part of efforts to attract more investment, expand industrial activity, and create additional employment opportunities for the people.

The 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Secretariat convened the signing of the Heads of Terms for a proposed integrated poultry investment under the National Poultry Transformation Programme.

The 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Secretariat convened the signing of the Heads of Terms for a proposed integrated poultry investment under the National Poultry Transformation Programme.

The partnership brought together Agrium Capital, Petra Pension Trust and Axis Pension Trust, with Ghana EXIM Bank expected to join, to advance an integrated poultry system spanning feed production, breeding, processing, cold chain, logistics and market access.

The next step is to develop the Heads of Terms into a shareholders' agreement and move the project towards delivery.
