Yesterday in Ayawaso West, a remarkable act of leadership and service unfolded one that truly reflects the dedication of Hon. John Dumelo, Member of Parliament for the constituency. In his unwavering commitment to improving the welfare of schoolchildren and strengthening local food systems, he made a substantial donation to the school feeding caterers.

At the break of day, trucks loaded with 50 gallons of cooking oil, 400 bags of locally produced rice, 1,000 crates of eggs, and 1 ton of Made-in-Ghana chicken made their way to the caterers who feed thousands of young learners daily. The atmosphere was filled with gratitude, pride, and renewed hope as this gesture ensured that every child in Ayawaso West will continue to enjoy nutritious, high-quality meals.

To us, the NDC YOUTH FORCE, this is more than just an act of generosity it is a powerful story of leadership in action. Hon. John Dumelo continues to demonstrate what it means to serve with heart and purpose. His support also champions Made-in-Ghana products, reaffirming our belief that empowering local farmers and producers strengthens the nation.

As the caterers expressed their appreciation, one message echoed strongly: Hon. John Dumelo’s commitment to the people of Ayawaso West is active, impactful, and unwavering.

Warm Regards

πŸ”Š NDC YOUTH FORCE COMMUNICATION BUREAU

GOOD NEWS FROM PRESIDENT JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA!.

The NDC Youth Force is excited to share another transformational policy directive from His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama, that will boost Ghana’s economy, empower farmers, and strengthen our educational sector.

Effective immediately, all schools in Ghana from basic to secondary are to purchase rice, maize, chicken, and eggs produced in Ghana ONLY

This directive, confirmed by the Minister for Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, on Thursday, November 13, 2025, marks a major step toward:

βœ… Supporting Local Farmers

This policy guarantees a large and reliable market for our hardworking rice farmers, maize producers, poultry farmers, and egg suppliers across all 16 regions.

βœ… Boosting Ghana’s Economy

By keeping billions of cedis circulating within our local economy, we reduce over-dependence on imports and strengthen the cedi.

βœ… Creating Jobs for the Youth

The agricultural value chain from production to processing and transportation will experience massive job creation, especially for young people.

βœ… Improving Food Security

Locally produced food items ensure freshness, quality, and affordability, enhancing the nutrition and well-being of schoolchildren.

This is leadership in action. Vision. Practical solutions. Ghana first.

The NDC Youth Force commends President Mahama and the Ministry of Finance for this bold and strategic policy that addresses unemployment, revitalizes agriculture, and strengthens our national economy.

We call on all Ghanaians to support this initiative and embrace made-in-Ghana products as part of our collective journey toward economic independence and national transformation.

NDC Youth Force Mourns Six Lives Lost and Demands Justice and Fairness in Military Recruitment - Seyram Godfred

The NDC Youth Force joins the nation in mourning the tragic loss of six young applicants and the critical injuries of several others at the El-Wak Sports Stadium today, following a stampede. This heartbreaking incident, which could have been prevented, leaves a bitter taste and raises urgent questions about the management of military recruitment in Ghana.

We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and pray for the swift recovery of the injured. May the departed souls rest in peace, and may their families find strength in this difficult time.

The leadership of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) failed to demonstrate the level of competence expected in organizing such a sensitive national exercise. With nearly 60,000 applicants, it was clear that managing such a large crowd in a confined space like El-Wak Stadium was a grave miscalculation. There was no need to wait for a tragedy before realizing that applicants should have been divided into smaller groups and scheduled on different dates. This negligence has cost the lives of promising young Ghanaians.

We have also observed with concern that our security agencies have not been fair to citizens. The GAF announced the recruitment of 4,000 personnel but deliberately sold over 60,000 forms. This practice is unjust and amounts to exploitation. If only 4,000 people were needed, there is no justification for selling 60,000 forms. This creates false hope and exposes desperate youth to unnecessary risk.

The NDC Youth Force strongly urges the Ghana Armed Forces to review and reform their recruitment process to prevent such tragedies from recurring. We demand a fair, transparent, and humane approach to military recruitment. The lives of Ghanaian youth must never again be sacrificed due to incompetence or greed.

We further call for an independent investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragedy and the implementation of concrete measures to guarantee the safety and dignity of all applicants in future recruitment exercises.

Let the memory of our fallen youth never fade. May their sacrifice serve as a reminder and a call to action to build a more just, accountable, and humane Ghana.
