The Nkranfo School is in dire need of toilet facility for both Teachers and Students. We call upon benevolent individuals to come our aid. Thank you

2022 BECE was successful today 18th October, 2022. The Municipal Director visited Fankobaa Centre A and B and Nkum Centre in the Agona West Municipality.

The 2022 BECE started across the length and breath of the country and Agona West Municipal was no exception. The Municipal Director, MCE, MCD and the MP for Agona West Constituency visited some centres on the 17th October, 2022 and wished Candidates the best of luck. A total of 2.986 Candidates registered for this year's Examination. This figure comprise 1,460 boys and 1526 girls. There are 11 centres for the exams in the directorate. Social studies paper was written and the second paper of ICT would be written in the day

Agona West Municipal Education Directorate organized a briefing session for 2022 BECE Candidates at the Abodom Methodist Church in Bobikuma Circuit A of the Agonna West Municipality. The programme was held on the 12th of October, 2022. Dignitaries present were the Circuit Supervisor Mr. Frederick Afful, Mr. Shadrack Bentum Guidance and Counseling Coordi, Mr. Roxy Asamoah Exams Officer, Mr. Joseph Konkromah ICT Coordinator, Mr. Ernest Ato Bentil, Cadfill TV Presenter.
Opening prayer was given by Rev. Bismark Amponsah Omane.

The Candidates were taken through how to prepare towards the BECE Examination, Basic rules governing the WAEC Examinations and how to answer BECE questions in English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, ICT, and Social Studies.

World Teachers Day Celebration held in the Agona GNAT Municipal at Bobikuma in the Agona West Municipal Education Directorate. The gun games competition was between Bobikuma Local and the Agona Swedru Local. It was all fun and the exhibition of talents by these teachers.

WORLD TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION

No amount of money or wealth can be compared to the selfless services full of commitment and dedication teachers are rendering. The sufferings some teachers go through even to access their place of work has never been easy coupled with poor accommodation, lack basic amenities and utilities in some of the communities and teachers have no excuse than to adjust to the situation.

Again in the midst of the unseen difficulties teachers deliver.
Yes truly if you can read thank the teacher.

On the occasion of World Teachers Day, the Municipal Director of Education would like to take this opportunity to salute and celebrate all gallant teachers for their services and support for the Agona West Municipal Directorate. Let's continue to brighten up the corner at everywhere we find ourselves and there will surely be light at the end of the tunnel.

TRIBUTE IN HOUNOUR OF MR. EBENEZER ATO AFFAIDU FROM AGONA WEST MUNICIPAL EDUCATION DIRECTORATE

“For we know that when this tent we live in our body here on earth is torn down God will have a house in heaven for us to live in a home which he himself has made which will last forever” (2 Corinthians 5:1)
Words cannot describe our feelings for this loss of a great Educationist, Teacher, Counsellor, and a Sports man. Yes a complete gentleman has fallen. Our hearts bleed. We are filled with grief and it is with deep sorrow that we pay this tribute to our late colleague Mr. Ebenezer Ato Affaidu. Indeed, ‘those who leave the scene of life feel not the pains of parting, the shock and pain are felt by those left behind’. But we are convinced that, death is an important part of our journey with the Lord.
Mr. Ebenezer Ato Affaidu joined the Agona West Municipal Education Directorate effective1st March 2022 as the Assistant Logistics Officer.
He worked diligently to the admiration of all staff.
By dint of his hard work and unflinching commitment to the Municipality, and with his rich experience in the service, the Municipal Director appointed him to serve on two interview panels. One was to interview a Municipal Sports Coordinator and the other was to interview potential Headteachers to manage the Basic schools.
He was filled with humility and never over looked his age but worked assiduously. He respected everybody irrespective of age and status.
There was not a time he left the office without seeking permission from the Municipal Director and his Head of Unit even though he was by far older than both.
It is crystal clear that the teaching fraternity has lost an eminent implacable industrious son and a senior colleague. For us, his leadership and sense of commitment to the development of the directorate would continue to inspire us into greater heights.
Cherish every moment with the people you love most as the opportunity may not be there forever
May the soul of the Late Mr. Ebenezer Ato Affaidu and the souls of all faithful departed ones rest peacefully in the arms of the Almighty God.
God be with us till we meet again, by his counsel guide uphold you, with his sheep securely fold you, when life`s perils thick confound you, put his unfailing round you and keep his love`s banner floating over you, smite deaths threatening wave before you, God be with you till we meet again
The Municipal Director and the entire Agona West Municipal Education Directorate bid you fare thee well. Rest in Peace. Amen
