On Sunday 4th January 2026, I was honoured to join the good people of Nkronua at their fund raising programme towards the completion of their community centre project. In support of this important initiative, I donated 50 bags of cement and 10 packets of roofing sheets to help accelerate the completion of the facility. Together, we will continue to work to build a better Denkyira West that we all dream for.

On Monday I had the privilege of presenting cheques to the first batch of beneficiaries of the Hon. Rudolf Amoako-Gyampah Scholarship Scheme. Education is the key to unlocking opportunities, and no student's future should be limited by financial barriers. I took the opportunity to encourage beneficiaries to stay focused, work hard and continue striving for excellence.
In another development, I ceased the opportunity of day to engage the District Health Director, Staff and the Contractor for the commencement of construction of an ultra-modern maternity block at Diaso Health Centre.
Additionally, work on the construction of a 1-unit- three classroom block with Office and Store at New Obuasi Anglican JHS has also commenced.

THE HON. RUDOLF AMOAKO-GYAMPAH SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME TO SUPPORT BEST BECE CANDIDATES WITH MATTRESSES AND TRUNKS

As part of my continuous commitment to promoting access to quality education and motivating young learners in my beloved Upper Denkyira West Constituency, I will be distributing mattresses and trunks to outstanding students who excelled in the 2025/26 Basic Education Certificate Examination through the Hon. Rudolf Amoako-Gyampah Scholarship Scheme.

The Scheme will also provide financial donations to brilliant but needy tertiary students within the constituency.

"Health is wealth" is a common adage. However, access to quality healthcare in Upper Denkyira West is grossly inadequate. Patients are often referred to health facilities located at least 50km away in other districts, including Bibiani in Bibiani-Anwiaso-Bekwai Municipal and Dunkwa-On-Offin in Upper Denkyira East Municipality. The latter has a particularly deplorable road network, exacerbating the challenges. The people of Denkyira West were overjoyed when the previous government initiated an AGENDA 111 project in the district to provide quality and accessible healthcare services. Unfortunately, the project was abandoned by the Mahama government, dashing the hopes of the people of Denkyira West for quality healthcare. I am making a humble appeal to the Health Minister to prioritize the completion of this project.

This substantial education infrastructure, nearing significant completion, cannot be abandoned to the mercies of the weather and to the disadvantage of students and the people of Upper Denkyira West. The projects, awarded in December 2019, are at various stages of completion as follows:
1. Boys Dormitory- 74%,
2. Girls Dormitory- 50%,
3. Administration block- 98%,
4. Assembly Hall- 85%,
5. Dining Hall with kitchen- 89%,
6. 3-storey teachers' flat- 85%,
7. Headmaster's bungalow- 91%,
8. Assistant Headmaster's bungalow- 91%.

Given the government's investment of over GHS32m in these projects, and the clarion call by Ghanaians for prudent spending of state resources, it is imperative that government makes the remaining additional commitments to fully complete these projects.

I humbly call on the President, the Minister of Education, and the GETFund administrator to as a matter of importance release funds to WINGET and re-award the terminated SARBET contract to get these critical projects completed for my beloved Upper Denkyira West constituency. .

As we usher into the month of August, I pray that God's grace abound on us all and lasting peace prevail in Bawku.

I reiterate my call to the Minister of Health to expedite the completion of the AGENDA 111 projects initiated by the Akuffo Addo-Bawumia government across the country. A substantial amount of resources have been committed into these projects, and the nation cannot afford to let these commitments go to waste. In the spirit of prioritizing the health of citizens and making judicious use of the public purse, I respectfully implore the John Mahama government to complete these projects with utmost urgency. Furthermore, I am appealing to the government to prioritize the AGENDA 111 project in my constituency, Upper Denkyira West, as there is no hospital( government or private) within the district. My constituents find good healthcare accessibility extremely challenging, and this is leading to many avoidable deaths.

Yesterday, I had a fruitful discussion with the District Health Directorate on how to improve quality health care delivery in the district. The Director and staff outlined several challenges confronting the sector. Together, we crafted a framework for the best possible solutions to make health care and accessibility a priority for the constituents.
