The “Year of Roads” continues unabated with Effiduase Asokore Constituency also having its fair share. Works on the following link roads in the constituency begins Tuesday, 26th July, 2022. The roads are:
1. Ntunkumso-Feyiase
2. Bimma-Akokoaso
3. Seniagya-New Apaso
4. Senchi-Oguaa -Akuakrom Junction

Hon Dr. Nana Ayew Afriye(MP), promised constituents that he was going to help fix the roads and true to his word, the project is seeing the light of day. The Contractor for the Project is Capital Construction Limited and we are to expect work starting on the roads tomorrow.

This is great news for constituents especially drivers who use the roads. This will go a long way in addressing the numerous challenges most motorist encounter on the dusty and potholed roads.

We have to keep faith with the New Patriotic Party and our MP, and we are optimistic that all roads in our constituency will be fixed. A very big thank you goes to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Dr. Nana Ayew Afriye for getting this over the line. We are eternally grateful.

Earlier today the Member of Parliament for Effiduase Asokore Constituency, Hon. Dr. Nana Ayew Afriye, commissioned an electrification project in the Buoya community, Sekyere East District. The project which is the first of its kind in the community will ensure that electricity is accessible to the inhabitants and serve as a focal point for extension into other surrounding communities. This is in line with the government's plans to improve electricity access to all rural communities in the country.

Also in attendance were the DCE-Sekyere East District, Hon. Osei Adiyiah and Deputy Minister of Energy, Mr William Owuraku Aidoo, graced the occasion and used the opportunity to educate the gathering about electricity safety and energy efficiency tips. He called on the good people of Buoya to keep faith in the NPP as has been reflected in their voting patterns because more developmental projects have been earmarked to be undertaken in the Effiduase Asokore Constituency and Ghana as a whole.

Over the weekend, the Member of parliament for Effiduase Asokore Constituency, Hon. Dr Nana Ayew Afriye with his able DCE and Party Executives graced the One Week Celebration of Nana Kwakye Acheampong, NPP's founding father for Effiduase-Asokore Constituency. Dr Ayew reiterated how Nana was exemplary and a great leader in the Party. He expressed his deepest condolences to the family and averred that even though he is gone he will forever be in our hearts.

The Member of Parliament for Effiduase/Asokore Constituency, Hon. Dr. Nana Ayew Afriye brought down the curtain on his community engagement tour. It began with a reconciliation meeting with all aspirants who participated in the just-ended constituency election. Those who won and lost met and smoked the peace pipe and made assurance of continuity of Party work on all fronts.

Hon Dr Ayew Afriye met with all Polling Stations Executives as well and elaborated on their roles and responsibilities in their respective communities. He opined that there was more work to be done in our quest to stay in power beyond 2024 and this calls for ingenuity and tactfulness in our approach to propagating our Party's successes chalked over the past few years.

Newly elected and appointed Constituency Executives were introduced to the Polling Station Executives. He challenged them to promote the Party and explain the Party's policies and programmes wherever they find themselves as this was the only way to ensure that our work from now until December 2024 is simplified and our agenda of breaking the eight is accomplished.

This morning, at the residence of the member of parliament for Effiduasi/Asokore constituency Dr Nana AYEW AFRIYE, Council of Elders chairman, some council of Elders, District Chief executive Hon Osei Adiyiah, Elected constituency executives led by Chairman John Yeboah KARIKARI and all aspirants who lost in the just ended constituency executives elections met. The main reason for this important meeting was RECONCILIATION between elected executives and aspirants who lost the elections on the need to heal all wounds, come together as one and gather all arsenals towards BREAKING THE EIGHT.

All the aspirants who lost the elections pledged their unflinching support for the elected executives and their readiness to serve when called to do so. The elected executives welcomed all of them and promised to work with them for the success of the party. Unity is strength, unity for 2024.

The construction of the Ahotokrom market is set to soon commence after the land inspection was done on Wednesday, by the relevant stakeholders led by the DCE, Hon. Osei Adiyiah, District Engineer and Assembly Member of the area, Hon. Ebenezer Kwasi Poku. Additionally, the necessary documentation has been done.

This will include the construction of 20 news sheds and other facilities to help in its operations. The facility is being built from scratch with funds finally allotted for that purpose. This came as a surprise to the market women who had complained without number the need for a new market to be built for the community.

The facility which had been in the pipeline for sometime has been given the green light for its commencement. DCE for Sekyere East, Hon. Osei Adiyiah has promised to see to it that the ultra-modern edifice is built as soon as possible and in less than three(3)months.

He assured the market women that their ordeals will be attenuated when the new market is built and they will be able to work there without being at the mercy of the weather. He assured them of his unwavering support for all residents and promised that he would do his best to ensure that the District gets to the level we have all envisioned for ourselves.

The Effiduasi Local Council of Churches Thanksgiving Service in honour of Hon. Osei Adiyiah that is slated for Sunday, 21st November 2021 at the Effiduase Methodist Church has been called off.

This is as a result of an Emergency Workshop being organised for all MMDCEs at Dunkwa On-Offin starting Friday and ending on Sunday. A new date will be communicated as soon as possible.

Earlier today, Hon. Osei Adiyiah, DCE for Sekyere East presented a 32-inch television, mattresses and cash(earmarked for the purchase of beds) to the Ghana Ambulance Service through the District Health Service Directorate.

This was made possible after several calls made to the office of the MP about the need for the items to be delivered and enhance their operations as well.

The donation was made on behalf of the Member of Parliament for Effiduase Asokore Constituency, Dr. Nana Ayew Afriye. The workers after receiving the items expressed appreciation and wished the legislator well in his endeavours.

In his closing remarks, Hon. Osei Adiyiah, DCE averred that the District Assembly and Member of Parliament offices are always open for concerns of all sorts and promised that they will help solve the numerous problems in the District one at a time.

Hon. Osei Adiyiah, DCE for Sekyere East, paid visits to numerous Basic Schools within the District. The motive behind the visitation was to interact with, motivate and extend his best wishes to candidates who are sitting for this year's B.E.C.E.

He explained that the Nana Akufo-Addo led government had put in place several programmes for young citizens and notably was the Free SHS policy which had been implemented to eradicate the fear of missing out on secondary school education because of financial constraints.

He urged candidates not to be scared of the exams but to trust in their abilities to write and pass with flying colours. He opined that the future was theirs for the taking and as such, they ought to take the first step with utmost confidence.
