Eastern Regional Chief Director Engages Ayensuano District Assembly Staff.
The Eastern Regional Chief Director, accompanied by a team of senior officers from the Local Government Service, Eastern Regional Coordinating Council paid a working visit to the Ayensuano District Assembly. Ghana National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving.

The Ayensuano District Assembly, under the leadership of Hon. Joshua F.Y. Lartey, District Chief Executive, joined the rest of Ghana today to observe the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving at Anum Apapam.

The National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving is a national observance dedicated to uniting citizens in prayer, reflection, and gratitude for Ghana’s peace, stability, and progress.

The district session brought together Christian, Muslim, and traditional religious leaders who led prayers for national leadership, the economy, the youth, peace, and unity.

Ayensuano District, in collaboration with Asetenapa Cocoa Cooperative and Tony’s Open Chain, commemorated the 2026 World Day Against Child Labour under the theme, "Fair Play for Children, Decent Work for Adults." The 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (B.E.C.E.) which went on across the Ayensuano District in eight (8) designated centers was successful. The examination, which began on Monday, 4th May 2026, and ended on Monday, 11th May 2026 nationwide.
A total of 1,895 candidates from 89 schools (61 public and 28 private) participated in this year’s examination. the process has been orderly, well-coordinated, and free from major incidents of examination malpractice.
The District Chief Executive, Hon. Frederick Yaw Joshua Lartey, together with the District Director of Education, Rev. Alexander Narh Amanya, visited all examination centres to monitor the conduct of the exams, encourage candidates, and ensure strict adherence to WAEC regulations.
We commend all supervisors, invigilators, teachers, security personnel, and stakeholders for their professionalism and commitment toward ensuring a credible examination process.
