RAISING SPIRITUAL CHILDREN : I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth - 3 John 1:4
It should come as no surprise that Children, almost without exception, blindly adopt the religion of their family & therein lies a biggest threat to their future. Now, as a responsible parent, you must never neglect your child’s spiritual training. Yes, IF YOU LOVE YOUR CHILDREN, YOU WILL WANT TO TEACH THEM TRUTH & TRAIN THEM TO BE SPIRITUAL (Prov 22:6).
That means, you must DO TWO THINGS TO LEAD YOUR CHILDREN TO GOD: First, allow your child to see your spirituality & how you fellowship with God at all times, keep His word everyday (Deut 11:19, 1 Pet 5:2-3). Second, always encourage your children to be led by the Holy Spirit, present all their needs to God first & thereby build a personal relationship, dependency on their creator, than on their earthly parents (Matt 19:14). When you follow these two things, GOD WILL HONOR YOUR CHILDREN & EVERYONE WILL KNOW THEY ARE BLESSED BY HIM (Isa 61:9). Blessings to you & yours.
