Statement from Hon. Amidu Gariba, Oforikrom Constituency Chairman of the Democratic Congress on the upcoming presidential and parliamentary primaries in Oforikrom!

They keep telling us that JM didn’t solve Dumsor and that it was a money problem and not a generation problem. Just small maintenance, and we are going to experience Dumsor.

Per this letter, there is going to be a shortfall of 150MW. For 8yrs, this government has not added anything to our generation, and I won’t be surprised if any future government suffers a generation shortfall.

This is what President Mahama did in 2015 to solve the Dumsor “To address the electricity supply constraint, the Government of Ghana (GOG) added nearly 600 MW of generation capacity in late 2015/early 2016, by bringing online four power projects: Karpower barge (225 MW); Ameri Power (250 MW); TICO steam turbine (110 MW); and BXC solar (20 MW).”

Take all these OFF and let us see if Dumsor won't come back

Fellow Akatamansonians in our beloved Oforikrom Constituency, I bring you greetings and hope that this message finds you well wherever you are. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity given me to serve our great party, the NDC as Constituency Chairman in the just ended Constituency conference. As far as I am concerned, there was no loser or winner. The NDC won.

While I congratulate all the newly elected constituency executives, I would like to remind all comrades that elections are over, it is time to put all differences aside and rally together as one big umbrella family, work together for the common good of the NDC. Victory 2024 is a MUST and hence non-negotiable! Let us therefore be guided accordingly as we work towards ensuring our party wins the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.
