A Transformation I Am Proud Of.

For 14 years, the La Nkwantanang Madina Municipal Assembly held its meetings in the Assembly Hall using plastic chairs. For me, that was not befitting of the dignity, importance and image of our Assembly.

When I assumed office, I knew that this was one of the things that needed to change. Today, I am proud that we have a fully furnished and dignified Assembly Hall that reflects the status of our Municipality and provides a better environment for our deliberations and official engagements.

This transformation is not just about chairs and furniture. It is about restoring dignity, improving our working environment and giving our Assembly the respect it deserves.

I am deeply grateful to H.E. John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, for the support and commitment that made this possible.

As MCE, I remain committed to improving the infrastructure, systems and working environment of the La Nkwantanang Madina Municipal Assembly.

Fourteen years of waiting. Today, we have a hall we can truly be proud of.

This is the kind of progress I want to continue delivering for our Municipality.

Empowering Constituents

I am pleased to have supported seven constituents with motorcycles to help improve their livelihoods, strengthen their economic activities, and create better opportunities for sustainable income.

I am sincerely grateful to His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama for the confidence reposed in me and for giving me the opportunity to serve as Municipal Chief Executive. This position has given me the privilege to serve, support and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our constituents.

As MCE, I remain committed to initiatives that directly impact the lives of our people, empower them to become more productive and create opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.

This intervention is part of our commitment to putting people first and ensuring that the work we do translates into tangible benefits for the people of La Nkwantanang Madina.

I am grateful for the opportunity to serve, and I look forward to doing more for our people.

May Allah continue to grant us wisdom, strength and favour as we serve.

It is my pleasure to support our traditional authorities as we continue to work together for the development of our Municipality.

SUPPORTING OUR FARMERS , STRENGTHENING FOOD SECURITY

I had the privilege of overseeing the distribution of free fertilizers to farmers across the La Nkwantanang Madina Municipality under the Government's Presidential Agricultural Input Support Initiative.

With 16 farmer groups benefiting from this intervention, we are taking practical steps to reduce the cost of farming, improve crop yields and support increased food production.

As a Municipality, we remain committed to ensuring that these inputs reach the intended beneficiaries and are put to their intended use.

I am grateful to H.E. the President for this important intervention and to our farmers for their continued commitment to feeding our communities and our nation.

Together, we are supporting our farmers and building a stronger, more food secure Ghana.

A Thought Provoking Piece!

06/08/2026

I had the privilege of presenting hundreds of school desks, tables, and chairs to public basic schools across the Madina-La Nkwantanang Municipality as part of our commitment to improving education.

Every child deserves a safe, comfortable, and conducive environment to learn. This intervention will replace damaged furniture in our schools while supporting our broader goal of ending the shift system in the remaining three public basic schools still operating under it.

With new classroom blocks currently under construction through the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF), we remain on course to eliminate the shift system by the end of 2026.

I am encouraged by the steady improvement in our pupils’ academic performance, as reflected in the recent BECE results. Together with our dedicated teachers, parents, the Ghana Education Service, and all stakeholders, we will continue investing in quality education for the benefit of every child in our municipality.

Our children deserve the very best, and we remain committed to delivering it.

This afternoon, I joined fellow Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives, policymakers, development partners and other key stakeholders at the official launch of the National Urban Policy (2026 to 2035) and the National Slum Upgrading and Prevention Strategy (2026 to 2035), organized by the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs in collaboration with the Ghana Urban Forum.

These important policy frameworks reaffirm Ghana's commitment to sustainable urban development, improved service delivery and the creation of inclusive, resilient and well planned communities.

As Municipal Chief Executive for the La Nkwantanang Madina Municipal Assembly, I remain committed to translating these national policy directions into practical interventions that will foster orderly development and improve the quality of life for our residents.

Together, we will continue to build a cleaner, safer and more prosperous municipality.

It was an honour to join the management of Electroland Ghana Limited for the official opening of their new showroom in Madina.

I was delighted to share this occasion with Chief Baba Sariki, Paramount Chief of Madina, whose presence underscored the importance of collaboration between traditional leadership, local government, and the private sector in driving development.

I commend Electroland Ghana for choosing Madina as the home of its newest branch. This investment will enhance access to quality electronics and home appliances, create employment opportunities, and contribute to the continued economic growth of our municipality.

On behalf of the La Nkwantanang Madina Municipal Assembly, I wish Electroland Ghana every success as they serve the people of Madina and surrounding communities.

The recent floods caused significant hardship for many families across the La Nkwantanang Madina Municipality, particularly in the communities stretching from Danfa to Ayimensah. Standing with our people in times of need remains a responsibility I take very seriously.

As part of our commitment to supporting affected residents, I joined the Municipal Directorate of NADMO to distribute relief items to households whose homes and livelihoods were impacted by the floods. The items, including rice, cooking oil, mattresses, blankets, mosquito nets, plates and cups, were provided to offer immediate relief while efforts continue to mobilise additional support.

So far, more than 800 affected residents have received assistance, with arrangements underway to reach the remaining victims. Although these items may not fully replace what has been lost, they reflect our unwavering commitment to ensuring that no affected family is left behind.

I commend the Municipal Directorate of NADMO, government, our development partners and everyone who has contributed to this humanitarian effort. Your dedication and swift response continue to bring hope to those facing difficult circumstances.

To all affected families, I assure you that the La Nkwantanang Madina Municipal Assembly will continue to work closely with NADMO and other stakeholders to strengthen disaster response, build more resilient communities and safeguard the welfare of every resident.

Together, we will overcome these challenges and build a stronger, safer municipality for all.
