NIGERIAN MILITARY DELEGATION PAYS FAMILIARIZATION VISIT TO CRIG
A high-profile Nigerian military delegation from the National Defence Academy, led by Commodore Tahir Stanley Ngada of the Nigeria Navy, met with the Management of the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG) yesterday, Thursday, March 13, 2026.
The visit was part of a recent study tour hosted by leadership of Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOB) and the National Defence College of Nigeria to centering on the strategic nexus between agricultural sustainability and regional security.
Opening the meeting, the Executive Director of CRIG, Dr. Kofi Owusu Domfeh welcomed the delegation and presented an overview of the activities of CRIG. He highlighted CRIG’s significant contribution in enhancing cocoa production in Ghana’s cocoa sector through technology and innovation.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Commodore Tahir Stanley Ngada commended CRIG’s leadership in agricultural research.

CRIG Organises Orientation for 2025/2026 National Service Personnel

The management of Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG) has officially welcomed its 2025/2026 National Service personnel at the Institute’s Recreational Centre on Monday 2nd February 2025.
The programme was facilitated by experts from various divisions and units, of the institute who introduced participants to CRIG’s core functions, workplace ethics, and performance expectations.

Speaking on behalf of the Director General Administration, Mr. Andy Frimpong-Manso, the Senior Human Resource Manager encouraged the personnel to remain disciplined, committed, and proactive throughout their service period, noting that active participation would enhance their professional development.

CRIG JHS 95-YEAR GROUP DONATES TO ALMA MATER
The 1995-year-group of the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG) M/A Junior High
School (JHS) donated 150 pairs of students’ table and chair, and the renovated 3-unit block of JSS 3 to the school at New Tafo-Akim
Speaking at the event on Thursday, 15 January 2026 Dr. Daniel Nyadanu, Deputy Executive
Director of CRIG in charge of Cocoa & Kola reiterated CRIG’s continues support for the CRIG and commended the 1995-year group for donation which should be emulated by others.
Presenting the items on behalf the 1995-year-group, Dr. Abu Mustapha Dadzie, Senior
Research scientist of CRIG and a fellow of the 1995 Class said that the gesture was part of the Group’s 30th anniversary of completion of the school.
Receiving the items on behalf of students and staff, Mr. Joseph Anhwere, Headmaster of the School expressed gratitude to the 1995-year-group for kind gesture to their alma mater.

CRIG joined COCOBOD to mark Dress as a Farmer Initiative.
As part of the 41st National Farmers’s Day Celebration, Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG) staff on Thursday 4th December , 2025 joined all staff the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) across the nation to participate in dress as a farmer initiative.
Staff in stunning farming regalia, embodied the spirit of Ghanaian farmers and their household paying tribute to our gallant hardworking cocoa farmers.

COCOBOD DELEGATION PARTICIPATES IN 2025 COFFEE FESTIVAL

A Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) delegation joined coffee stakeholders to celebrate the 2025 Coffee Festival at Osu Nyaniba Estate in the Greater Accra Region. Coffee enthusiasts
toured COCOBOD exhibition pavilion which showcased robusta coffee products by CRIG including coffee biscuits, Ghana Dark Bar Coffee chocolate and coffee seedlings.
