From Tuesday, 11th to Thursday, 13th November 2025, the Bono Regional Management Team, led by DCAEMT Alfred K. Amoah and his Deputy, DCAEMT Eric Mills, organized a three-day capacity-building training programme for drivers and station managers across the Bono region.
Day 1 & 2
On Tuesday, 11th and Wednesday, 12th November 2025, training sessions were held for seventy-five (75) EMT drivers drawn from all fourteen (14) stations in the region. The sessions featured facilitators from the National Road Safety Authority, the Police Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD), and a representative from the NAS Engineering and Servicing Department Kumasi.
Participants were taken through five key modules:
Road Traffic Regulations
Upholding Public Safety
Ensuring Effective Vehicle Maintenance
Minimizing the Risk of Road Crashes
Maintaining the regional fleet avoiding further damages
This training aims to enhance efficiency and operational effectiveness within the region National Ambulance Service (NAS) and to ensure the continuous and safe operation of its fleet system.
Day 3
On the third day, the region had the privilege of hosting a team from the NAS Headquarters, including the Internal auditor, Mr. Mohammed Muhaideen, and the deputy director of finance, Mr. Musah Seidu Suwiye.

The directive mandates that, henceforth, General Counterfoil Receipt (GCR) receipts be issued to clients who make payments for inter-hospital referrals.
This initiative is expected to enhance transparency and accountability, thereby boosting public confidence in NAS operations.
Station managers were also taken through key areas related to financial compliance, public fund management.
