On 15 January 2026, the Regional Coordinating Director (RCD), Alhaji Avona Mohammed Akape, visited the Ketu South Municipal Assembly with his Volta Regional Coordinating Council - VRCC team as part of a tour of Assemblies in the Volta Region. The visit brought together the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Nicholas Kwabla Worclachie, the newly appointed Municipal Coordinating Director, Emmanuel Ikpe Quarcou, and staff of the Assembly.

During the meeting, participants discussed a number of issues affecting the smooth operation and overall development of the municipality. Key concerns included the need to improve staff punctuality and work discipline, strengthen the performance of the Internally Generated Fund (IGF), and ensure the consistent delivery of quality services to the public.

Attention was also drawn to the effective use of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF), as well as human resource challenges, particularly staff motivation. These issues were collectively identified as critical to driving the municipality's development agenda.

In his remarks, the MCE noted that the government's development agenda is being actively pursued within the municipality. He highlighted initiatives such as the rollout of the 24-hour economy market model, improvements in sanitation, and ongoing investments in water and school infrastructure. He expressed confidence that these interventions would contribute significantly to socio-economic growth and improved service delivery.

The RCD, on his part, called for an all-hands-on-deck approach to boost revenue mobilization, noting that the municipality did not meet its revenue target for 2025.
