My Food is African Local Culinary Exhibition shines at Upper West Regional Coordinating Council!

The vibrant celebration showcased local Ghanaian dishes, thanks to participating departments like Ghana Health Service, GRA, Prison Service, and more.
The Regional Director of the Upper West CNC indicated that the Centre as the governmental custodian of heritage, culture & tradition will continue to ensure that Our Traditional Food which is a tangible cultural asset will continue to gain traction and local relevance to provide nourishment and preserve our heritage. Our delicious delicacies are fast fading especially amongst the youth population and that’s worrying she said during her address.
The Chief Director of the Regional Coordinating Council added her voice during her speech to support more of similar inter departmental initiatives which projects cultural heritage. She assured organizers the RCC will always endorse such initiatives.

This event's was an eye-opener to many participants who called for a quarterly exhibition for more and more people to learn about their roots and local delicacies.

We want to express our deepest appreciation and thanks to Ghana Tourism Authority, CIKOD, Regional Coordinating Council, Ghana Tourism Authority for partnering to make this event a success.

A successful celebration of "My Food is African" held at the Upper West Regional Coordinating Council.
We thank the participating departments including; Ghana Health Service, GRA, Prison Service, Fire Service, FDA, CNC, CIKOD, GTA, Environmental Department, Pognaa Chaana.
Here's a testimony from a participant;
We produce some of the best nutritious meals yet most households do not cook our local cuisines, I'm surprised why we abandon our local foods and crave for foreign dishes. This event is an eyeopener. This is my first time seeing some of these dishes. I pray this event happens every quarter so more and more people understand how to prepare our Ghanaian Dishes.

Many thanks to all our partners, The Ghana Tourism Authority, CIKOD and the Regional Coordinating Council for helping us celebrate the Ghana Month Food Exhibition.
