The National Union of Bissa Students hereinafter referred to as NUBS is non-partisan and democratic student’s umbrella association of all bissas in Ghana. This includes but not exclusive to Undergraduate and Postgraduate students from all tertiary institutions in the country.

The name National Union of Ghana Students was settled on among a long list of other names.

The main aim of NUBS is create a thriving network of bissa students in the country to protect the rights and champion a progressive course in contributing meaningfully to the life of the average bissa in the country.

NUBS through its structures will promote unity, progress, education and champion the welfare needs of bissa students through research and advocacy.

The committee charged with the development of an effective working document have chunked some successes since its inception. The core objectives as well as the appointment of interim executives have been successfully done.

HERE ARE THE CORE OBJECTIVES AS DEFINED BY THE COMMITTEE;

1. Create a tertiary students network of bissa intellectuals.

2. Be united under one national umbrella with branches all around Academic institutions in the country.

3. Organize educational outreach programs to support and motivate predominant bissa communities within Ghana.

4. Create a strong administrative base with national and local executives

5. Establish a very vibrant social media engagement such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and so on

6. Connect and liaise with other national bodies like Bissa Youth Association, The national organizers of Zekula festival etc.to further strengthen the union.

7. Empowerment of girl-child education.
