The Chief Of Old Yundum District Chief Ousman Gaye Invited 14 Village Alkalolu, Council of Elders, some community members including Youth and Women Representative all of them from his District, to attend the Dialogue give recommendations and as well as listen to the Thematic areas to be discuss by the Regional Dialogue Team.

We deemed it neccesary to record despite the poor quality inorder for the rest to know what transpired.

Following the completion of the much anticipated Tournament organised by The Jabang Sports Committee, I as the Chief of the district deemed it neccessarry for the Jabang Sports Committee, The Winner and runners Up of the recent completed Jabang Tournament to met the Alkalo and discuss on the way forward and hiw to have many successful tournaments.

Sports brings togetherness and spread peace amongst youths.

During the Coronation of the Chief of Old Yundum District, The Chief announced that, he want the collective help of all residence and non residence of the District to join hands and promote development, peace and support as well as solicit support to anyone for the smooth running of the Office.

A residence of the District Kebba Jobe took it upon himself to donate a complete computer to help ease the basic correspondence and communication of the office as well as enhance privacy.

He Urge others to donate and help the chief achieve his objectives.

Mr. Jobe promised a life time IT and tecchnical support on all Gadgets donated to the Chief of Old Yundum District.

The Chief of Old Yundum District assigned the 14-village head within his district to select active women who would make it up to the first ever district women Council.

This meeting and selecyion process took place on Saturday 20th January, 2024 at the Chief Residence in Sinchu Alhagie will help women to join force and help the advancement of women in the District and Gambia in general.
