Politics should never turn Gambians against one another based on tribe, ethnicity, or sectarian lines. We may belong to different political parties and hold different ideologies, but we are first and foremost one people with one shared destiny.
Disagreement is healthy in any democracy, but tribalism and sectarianism are dangerous poisons that divide nations, destroy unity, and hold societies back from progress. The future of The Gambia must never be determined by tribe or affiliation, but by competence, integrity, vision, and the ability to deliver meaningful progress for all citizens. As Gambians, we must reject hatred, blacklisting, and discrimination rooted in tribal or sectarian identity. No citizen should be judged, excluded, or denied opportunity because of where they come from or what group they belong to.
Our diversity must remain our strength, not our weakness. A stronger Gambia can only be built through unity, dialogue, mutual respect, and equal opportunity for all.
