The Embassy of Malaysia hosted a welcoming lunch for the representatives of the Malaysian Higher Education Institutions participating in the SGE Education Expo at Atlantic Hotel. The 2-day event from 20-22 August 2026 is expected to attract hundreds of potential enrolments in Malaysia’s higher education sector. CDA Ahmad Fuad welcomed the representatives to Guinea and expressed the Embassy’s support to ensure the fruitful outcome of the event.

Kabiné Komara on behalf of Hong Kong based Global Cybersecurity Alliance, signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement with the Academy of Engineering and Technology of the Developing World in Kuala Lumpur on 5 August 2025. Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) celebrates it establishment on 8 August every year. For this year's 59th anniversary, Malawakil Conakry published a promotional poster to celebrate ASEAN Day at a local news outlet with the objective to create and enhance awareness of the local audience on ASEAN, its role and achievements.

Perjalanan 59 tahun integrasi serantau ASEAN membuktikan bahawa kekuatan perpaduan bermula apabila lima negara memilih wadah kerjasama yang dipelopori pemimpin-pemimpin pengasas termasuk Tun Abdul Razak dari Malaysia. Kerjasama ini terus menguatkan Kepusatan ASEAN (ASEAN Centrality) serta memperkukuh kerangka perundangannya menerusi Piagam ASEAN. Asas bersejarah yang terbina melalui pemeteraian Perjanjian Persahabatan dan Kerjasama di Asia Tenggara (TAC) serta penganjuran Sidang Kemuncak Asia Timur julung kalinya sewaktu Kepengerusian ASEAN Malaysia pada tahun 2005.

Marking 59 years of regional integration, ASEAN's journey began when five nations chose cooperation, anchored by founding leaders like Malaysia's Tun Abdul Razak. Through pivotal milestones, from establishing landmark agreements such as the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC) to hosting the inaugural East Asia Summit during Malaysia's Chairmanship 2005, the region continuously elevated ASEAN Centrality while laying strong legal foundations via the ASEAN Charter.

Malaysia continues driving a forward-looking agenda under the ASEAN Community Vision 2045 in maintaining regional peace and stability, economic integration and socio-cultural cooperation. Happy 59th ASEAN Day as we continue navigating our future, together!

CDA Ahmad Fuad attended the opening ceremony of the Forum on the Remobilization of Equipment and Companies for the Simandou Project at Chapiteau by Issa on 22 July 2026. The 2-day event aimed to showcase opportunities presented by the Simandou Vision 2040 towards modernisation effort and economic development of Guinea.

CDA Ahmad Fuad attended the Inauguration Ceremony of the First Legislature of the Fifth Republic at the People's Palace on 17 July 2026. The ceremony took place following the end of the Republic of Guinea's transitional phase in December 2025 and the Parliamentary and Local Elections in May 2026.

On 9 July 2026, CDA Ahmad Fuad visited the Guinea Development Board (GDB), a newly established agency aimed to streamline efforts in promoting investment, trade and economic development of the country. Combining the roles of seven predecessor agencies, GDB was tasked to accelerate Guinea's ambition in-line with Simandou 2040. Both the Embassy and GDB committed to enhance their cooperation in the economic fields and planned to organise several joint programs soon.
