The Guest Project -from invitation to creation
The Guest Project is an artistic platform where invited dancers, musicians and other artists meet, research and create pieces collectively Founded in Ocotber 2017 by two greek dancers, Mina Ananiadou and Dafni Krazoudi, the platform hosts a series of dance performances, accompanied by live music, in the cities of Thessaloniki a
nd Athens . The guests -performers, musicians and occasionally other artists- alternate every time and within a week's time-frame, after working collectively, densely and consisely on a specific subject, they present complete creations (called “drafts”) in art spaces, museums, monuments and other places ofinterest . Every invitation works as a challenge, in which the performers and their creation will meet the audience at the end of the week. Up to now The Guest Project has created 6 pieces with the following invited dancers ( MayaM.Carroll, Eddie B.Oroyan, Paolo Cingolani, Anna Calsina Forrellad,Evangelia Vasdari, Giorgo Amenda, Eleni Pantazatou, DespinaKapoulitsa, Theodosia Stathi, Nefeli Asteriou), local musiciansand other artistsperformed at Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art, Archeological Museum of Thessaloniki, Alatza Imaret (15th century Mosque), State Museum of Contemporary Art of Thessaloniki, Ypsilon art space, Municipal Theater of Piraeus, Biennale of Thessaloniki 2017. There have been also realized 4 workshops, a month research residency offered by Greek Culture of Ministry and Music Hall of Athens and 2 short video dance movies
The Guest Project is an independent platform that has received up to now no financial support by any institution, fund or private entity. Our vision is to create a space for collective creation, reflection and sharing. Our intention is to form a broad field where all forms of art can grow together as well as art is treated as an accesible commons and not as a market commodity. Our objectives are
-to offer complete works of performances thorugh a dynamic exchange of research and creation
-to bring in contact the public with monuments and other places of interest though a performative experience
-to promote an artistic dialogue between dance and other fields of art
-to create a dynamic netowork between local and foreign artists
-to offer education and training opportunities to local students as well as dance professionals.
-to pose questions and open a space of actual dialogue on the potential transformative role of dance and art in our societies and communitites
-to develop actions with a social and artisitc impact on local society where art constitues a means of individual and collective empowerment
-to trigger inspiration, imagination as well to support values of genuine respect, sharing and equality. Contact

Η Guest Project είναι μια ανεξάρτητη καλλιτεχνική πλατφόρμα που παρουσιάζει μια σειρά από έργα χορού συνοδευόμενα από ζωντανή μουσική σε μουσεία, χώρους τέχνης και σημεία ενδιαφέροντος. Κάθε project δημιουργείται από διαφορετικούς προσκεκλημένους καλλιτέχνες (χορευτές, δραματουργοί, μουσικοί κ.α.) μαζί με έναν σταθερό πυρήνα της πλατφόρμας. Από το 2017 -οπότε και ιδρύθηκε από τη Μίνα Ανανιάδου και τη Δάφνη Κραζούδη- η TGP έχει παρουσιάσει 7 έργα χορού σε Αθήνα και Θεσσαλονίκη με προσκεκλημένους χορευτές και μουσικούς από Ελλάδα και εξωτερικό.
Κύριος σκοπός είναι να προάγει συλλογικούς τρόπους δημιουργίας σε όλα της τα στάδια -όπως έρευνα, χορογραφία και δραματουργία-, να δημιουργήσει έναν χώρο αναστοχασμού γύρω από την πράξη της θέασης, να προσφέρει εκπαιδευτικές ευκαιρίες μέσω παράλληλων δράσεων (συζητήσεις, σεμινάρια, sharing & feedback sessions, κ.α) και τέλος να κάνει πιο προσβάσιμη την τέχνη του χορού σε κοινό λιγότερο εξοικειωμένο. https://www.facebook.com/theguestproject/
