💡 Key takeaway from the VERDEinMED mentoring programme

After supporting 10 Italian textile companies on their sustainability journey, one message stands out:

📊 You can't improve what you don't measure.

Whether the challenge is chemical management, supply-chain transparency, water consumption, energy efficiency or greenhouse gas emissions, meaningful progress begins with understanding where you are today.

Through tailored mentoring and practical tools, VERDEinMED has helped textile SMEs identify their impacts, define priorities and develop concrete roadmaps for continuous improvement.

Because sustainability is not a destination — it's a process of learning, measuring and improving. ♻️

👕♻️ Small changes can make a big difference.

Through the VERDEinMED Living Labs, consumers from Italy, Greece and Spain explored the environmental and social impacts of textile consumption and waste.

One of the most encouraging findings? 📈 The percentage of participants who read textile labels increased from 69% to 82% after taking part in the activities.

The survey also highlighted a growing demand for clearer information about textile products, their origin, production processes and end-of-life management.
