Today, Lovanna left for her new home. She has found a place to live, daycare for her child, and a job to help her rebuild her life.

To every Guyanese who stepped forward, reached out, and helped make this possible, thank you.

This is what happens when we come together as a people. Guyana has so much love and empathy, and Lovannaโ€™s story is another reminder of what we can accomplish when we care for one another.

Following yesterdayโ€™s appeal after Lovana was found homeless at Durban Park, VPAC sincerely thanks everyone who has reached out, assisted, and committed to helping her, not just temporarily, but for the long term.

Today, VPAC assisted Lovana with a phone, set up her MMG using 625-1293, our published number, and assisted her in opening a Republic Bank account (Acc. No. 300 000 849 637). We also arranged with a doctor for her medication and any medical evaluation she may need tomorrow.

She remains at the temporary location arranged for her while we works toward securing a permanent home.

The outpouring of love and support from Guyanese people from every walk of life has been truly overwhelming. We will continue to keep the public updated.

VPAC is pleased to report that Jillicia Leitch, has successfully completed her second reconstructive eye surgery in New York, marking another significant milestone in her ongoing recovery from the traumatic injuries she sustained.

This latest surgery forms part of the extensive reconstructive process aimed at restoring the affected area following the devastating trauma she endured.

Jillicia is now recovering under the close supervision of her medical team as she continues through the next stage of her treatment.

VPAC extends its sincere appreciation to the medical professionals in New York for their exceptional care and expertise. We also remain deeply grateful to every individual, organization, and supporter whose generosity, prayers, and encouragement have helped make Jilliciaโ€™s continued treatment possible.

We ask the public to continue keeping Jillicia in their thoughts and prayers as she moves forward in her recovery.
