A Call to Rescue Our Nation – Guyana
Brian Backer, W.I.N. Political Candidate and Patriot
My Fellow Guyanese:
I speak to you not as a politician chasing power, but as a patriot fueled by love for our homeland—Guyana—now strangled by corruption, deception, and incompetence under the PPP/C regime. I did not choose this path for position or privilege. I chose it because I can no longer stand by as a government betrays its people.
As Steve Biko said, “It is better to die for an idea that will live than to live for an idea that will die.” I am fighting for a living idea—a united, thriving, and free Guyana.
The PPP/C hasn’t governed—it has exploited. It hasn’t served—it has preyed. No longer a party, it is a parasitic force feeding on the hopes of the poor. While you struggle to afford bread, they feast, masked by fake “progress.” But we see through the lies. And as Arundhati Roy reminds us, once you see it, you can’t unsee it. Silence becomes complicity. I will not stay silent. Guyana deserves better.
Ask yourself: Is your community safer? Are your children getting a quality education? Can you shop without fear? No. The PPP/C shattered its promises. Jobs became handouts. Environmental pledges turned into polluted rivers and sold-out resources. Transparency became shadowy deals and buried scandals. This is not leadership—it is theft.
Yet our spirit remains unbroken. On September 1, 2025, we have a choice: cling to a decaying regime, or rise to rebuild our homeland with dignity and vision.
I believe in you—the teachers, farmers, market vendors, youth. I believe in our collective strength. “A single bracelet does not jingle.” But together, we will ring a symphony of hope.
Join us. Let’s dismantle corruption and build a government that listens, serves, and empowers. A government that values every worker, uplifts the youth, and honours our ancestors.
An African proverb says: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” Let’s go far—together.
Let’s reclaim Guyana. Let’s write a new chapter—one of justice, prosperity, and pride.
Come September 1, your vote is your voice. Let’s raise it and set Guyana free.
