We commit to -

* Establishing a caring government where the suffering and the plight of the poor, the elderly in particular, youths, the issues of gender and Guyanese in general will be addressed promptly.

* Creating

a stable social and political environment where the rule of law is upheld to attract suitable local, regional and foreign direct investment for the creation of jobs, economic development, self-reliance, wealth and the alleviation of poverty, consistent with the Millennium Development Goals.

* Dealing with the crime situation in the country holistically and returning the country to a satisfactory level of security where our people could once again feel physically secure in their homes, places of work and recreation.

* Working towards the development of trust between government and the people, between local professionals and government; between the private sector and government; between investors and government; between all the ethnic groups in Guyana and government.

* Re-establishing a qualified and professionally competent public service and a National Insurance and Social Security Scheme that is relevant to the financial and economic realities of Guyanese society.

* Restoring the principle of separation of powers, strengthening the three arms of the State by reforming the Parliamentary System, improving the standards of the judiciary, as well as inculcating in government a culture of excellence and service to the people.

* Developing institutional arrangements for the mutually beneficial utilization of the expertise and financial means of the Diaspora.

* Conserving the natural heritage and the biodiversity of our country following the principles of sustainable development.

* Creating a system of education and moral guidance that will unlock the potential of our children in an environment of equal treatment and equal opportunity to give support to the family structure.

AFC Region10 Guyana - Alliance on the Move

As Vice Chairman of the AFC and former Member of Parliament, Mr Michael Carrington shares his views on the ongoing situation regarding the Region 10 RDC elections for Chairman and Vice Chairman.

He highlights the delays following the elections held three months ago, noting that the laws amended in 2018 ensure that in the case of a tie, the party with the most popular votes in the region should assume the position. Mr Carrington emphasises that the prolonged delay undermines democracy, calling it unjust and spiteful, and stresses that the will of the people must be respected.

AFC Region10 Guyana - The Alliance For Change (AFC) REJECTS THE ATTORNEY GENERAL’S APOLOGY

The Alliance For Change (AFC) has noted the recent remarks made by the Attorney General and his subsequent apology.

Let us be clear:
This is not about words alone. It is about the deep disrespect shown to our people, our history, and our struggles. An apology cannot erase the mindset that allows such statements to be made in the first place.

For decades, Guyanese have been told to “accept and move on.” But we say: Enough.

🟨 The AFC stands firm in rejecting this apology because:
✅ It fails to address the hurt caused to the descendants of enslaved Africans and all Guyanese who value our heritage.
✅ It reflects a pattern of disregard by those in high office.
✅ Guyana deserves leaders who respect the dignity of all citizens — not afterthoughts, not excuses.

The time for empty apologies is over. The time for accountability and change is now.

Alliance For Change APALLED AT LEAKED VIDEO OF INDIGENOUS GUYANESE LEFT STRANDED

The Alliance For Change is deeply concerned and appalled at the recently surfaced audio and photos showing our indigenous men, women, and children left stranded on a lonely road after attending a political rally.

This shameful act was carried out by Greaves Transportation Services, acting at the behest of the current PPP administration and its agents.

This is more than negligence — it is:
❌ An attack on democracy
❌ A deliberate attempt to victimize businesses and ordinary Guyanese
❌ A clear sign of the two Guyanas we live in: one for the rich and powerful, and another for the poor and marginalised.

The Alliance For Change (AFC) strongly condemns this disgraceful behaviour. Our Guyanese brothers and sisters deserve to live with dignity, equality, and freedom from fear.
