Another significant milestone in our Black Belly × Dorper crossbreeding programme.

Today, our lambs, including "Ruth", our first-born lamb, were successfully fitted with RFID identification tags as part of our livestock traceability system. This important step enhances our ability to maintain accurate records, strengthen flock management, and support data-driven breeding decisions.
We sincerely acknowledge the valuable support provided by members of our non-technical management team during this exercise. Their participation reflects the collaborative effort and shared commitment that continue to drive the success of our breeding programme. Our small ruminant programme is led by Ms. Trishanna Alleyne, Snr. Livestock Officer.
As we continue to advance this initiative, each milestone brings us closer to developing a more productive, sustainable, and well-managed flock.
