In the performance, "Heunglip (Male)" embodies the steadfast integrity and deep composure unique to classic scholars (seonbi). Powerful energy coexists with soft lines, creating an unshakable center and restrained movement that fully bring out the scholar's elegance and dignity.

Popular dancers from Mnet's Stage Fighter—Kang Gyeongho, Kim Yuchan, and Jung Sungwook—alongside former Spanish National Ballet soloist Lee Eunsoo and Jeong Yongje, will transform into dark scholars. [Exhibition] 🏙️ Unaffordable Nostalgia 🏙️

The new exhibition, Unaffordable Nostalgia, is on view at the Korean Cultural Center until 7 November 2026. Co-curated by Kang Min-hyung and Wong Ka Ying, the exhibition features works by Korean artists Ubac Studio and Jang Gayoun, alongside the Hong Kong-based collective Foreseen Agency.

Exploring urban development, memory, historical context, and the contemporary urban experience shaped by modern society, the exhibition offers new perspectives on how memory and nostalgia are constructed, circulated, and consumed through the cities of Seoul and Hong Kong.

On 20 August, an artist talk, opening ceremony, and curator-led tour were held.

【展覽】🏙️ 幾堪回首 🏙️

全新展覽《幾堪回首》（Unaffordable Nostalgia）現正於駐香港韓國文化院展出，展期至2026年11月7日。展覽由姜旻亨及黃嘉瀛 共同策劃，展出韓國藝術家 Ubac Studio、張佳延 以及香港藝術團體 Foreseen Agency 的作品。

展覽以首爾與香港兩座城市為背景，探討城市發展、記憶、歷史脈絡及當代都市經驗，並從全新角度審視記憶與懷舊如何在現代社會中被建構、傳播及消費。

8月20日，文化院舉行了藝術家講座、開幕儀式及策展人導賞活動。

Korean conductor Holly Hyun Choe, Chief Conductor of the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and Music Director of the Orchestre National de Cannes, will make her Hong Kong début with Hong Kong Sinfonietta and distinguished British pianist Benjamin Grosvenor in Brahms’ monumental Piano Concerto No. 1. Centered around traditional Korean headwear (g*t), the performance uses dance to portray the forms, meanings, spirit, and craftsmanship of nine distinct hat styles.
