Personnel of the City Health Office – Reproductive Health and Wellness Center (CHO-RHWC) actively participated in the Servicio Caravan and Ugnayan sa Barangay held today, June 2, 2026, at Barangay Arena Blanco, Zamboanga City.

As part of the caravan, CHO-RHWC provided essential health services to residents, including blood typing, HIV and syphilis screening, and random blood sugar testing.

The activity also gathered various government agencies, showcasing a collaborative effort to deliver accessible public services and strengthen community engagement.

The Servicio Caravan and Ugnayan sa Barangay continue to serve as an effective platform for bringing vital government programs and services directly to the people, fostering healthier and more empowered communities.

Today, May 22, 2026, personnel from the City Health Office – Reproductive Health and Wellness Center (CHO-RHWC) joined the Purok Kalusugan activity held at Upper Dulian, Pasonanca organized by the Pasonanca Health Center.

As part of the community outreach program, the CHO-RHWC provided free health services including blood typing, syphilis and HIV screening, and random blood sugar testing to residents in the area.

The City Health Office continues to encourage the public to participate in health programs and avail of the services to help ensure a healthier and safer community for all.

Today, May 12, 2026, personnel from the City Health Office – Reproductive Health and Wellness Center (CHO-RHWC) conducted a Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMTCT) activity at Tetuan Health Center.

Services provided to pregnant women include: Blood Typing, Syphilis screening, HIV screening, and Random Blood Sugar testing.

Today, May 5, 2026, the City Health Office – Reproductive Health and Wellness Center (CHO-RHWC) and Gender and Development (GAD) Office successfully conducted an HIV Awareness Activity organized by the Hospitality Management students of Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST).

The activity focused on promoting awareness on SOGIESC (S*xual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and S*x Characteristics), as well as STI and HIV education, aiming to empower participants with accurate information and reduce stigma and discrimination.

In addition, CHO-RHWC provided essential health services, including free blood typing, syphilis screening, and HIV testing, ensuring accessible and confidential care for all participants.

The CHO-RHWC was also joined by the Gender and Development (GAD) Office of the City Mayor’s Office, further strengthening the collaborative effort to promote inclusivity and community health.

This initiative highlights the continued commitment of CHO-RHWC, Gender and Development Office, ZSCMST students, and partner agencies to advance health education, inclusivity, and overall community well-being.

In celebration of Labor Day, May 1, 2026, the CHO–RHWC personnel conducted an outreach activity at the Zamboanga City Jail (BJMP) Female Dormitory, extending essential health services to Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs).

The team provided comprehensive information on STI, HIV, and TB collaboration, along with free screening and testing services. This initiative highlights the continued commitment of the City Health Office to ensure that no one is left behind in accessing vital health information and services.

The Servicio Caravan, organized by the City Agriculture Office, brought together various essential services aimed at supporting local farmers and fisherfolk in the community.

As part of the initiative, CHO - RHWC extended its healthcare services by providing free blood typing, syphilis and HIV screening, and Random Blood Sugar (RBS) testing.

These services aimed to promote early detection, prevention, and overall health awareness among participants.

The City Health Office – Reproductive Health and Wellness Center (CHO-RHWC) successfully conducted its first advocacy and awareness activity today April 27, 2026 at the newly established Balay Silangan Reformation Center of the City Government of Zamboanga.

The initiative aimed to educate mendicants currently undergoing reformation at the facility by providing essential information on S*xually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).

In addition to the educational session, the team also offered free health services, including blood typing, Syphilis testing, and HIV screening, reinforcing the importance of early detection and prevention.

Through this activity, CHO-RHWC continues to strengthen its commitment to inclusive healthcare by reaching vulnerable population and ensuring access to vital health information and services.

The initiative aimed to strengthen awareness and promote early prevention of HIV transmission from mother to child, while also ensuring access to essential maternal health services.

The activity was conducted by CHO–RHWC personnel led by Dr. Cathy Garcia, who provided an informative lecture on PMTCT, highlighting the importance of early testing, proper prenatal care, and timely treatment.

The activity aimed to strengthen awareness and promote early detection and prevention of HIV and other health conditions in the community.

A comprehensive lecture on PMTCT and PICT was delivered, highlighting the importance of early testing, proper maternal care, and access to health services.
