As part of the community outreach program, the CHO-RHWC provided free health services including blood typing, syphilis and HIV screening, and random blood sugar testing to residents in the area.

Today, May 5, 2026, the City Health Office – Reproductive Health and Wellness Center (CHO-RHWC) and Gender and Development (GAD) Office successfully conducted an HIV Awareness Activity organized by the Hospitality Management students of Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST).

The activity focused on promoting awareness on SOGIESC (S*xual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and S*x Characteristics), as well as STI and HIV education, aiming to empower participants with accurate information and reduce stigma and discrimination.

In addition, CHO-RHWC provided essential health services, including free blood typing, syphilis screening, and HIV testing, ensuring accessible and confidential care for all participants.

The CHO-RHWC was also joined by the Gender and Development (GAD) Office of the City Mayor’s Office, further strengthening the collaborative effort to promote inclusivity and community health.
