Discover Boyle formerly known as the Úna Bhán Tourism Centre opened in the grounds of King House, Boyle in 1995. From the centre, we co-ordinate promotion of the Discover Boyle region (North Roscommon, South Sligo & Leitrim) and provide a high level of service to guests during their stay. The Tourism Centre is home to an all year round visitor information point, Boyle Craft Shop and the Courtyard

Market which takes place every Saturday from 10am - 2pm. Staff also work on a wide range of projects to develop and promote tourism in Boyle and the surrounding area. Boyle town and it's surrounds are a hidden jewel and well worth a visit with attractions like Carrowkeel Megalithic Tombs which pre-date Stonehenge & Newgrange and the magnificent Tree-canopy walk in Lough Key Forest & Activity Park. Boyle is on a good rail network (main Dublin to Sligo route) and road link (N4) from the east coast, making it an ideal and accessible destination for visitors.

Úna Bhán Tourism Co-operative Society t/a Discover Boyle is funded by Pobal under the Community Services Programme.

A huge thank you to Charlie and Evan at Big Wheel Marketing for delivering an incredible training program over the last few weeks! 🚀

We just wrapped up three incredibly valuable modules:

1. Drone Training 📸 (Looking forward to putting these new perspective skills to use!)
2. Digital Strategy 📈
3. Data Management & Insights 📊

The insights and practical skills we've gained will be a game-changer for our upcoming projects.

A massive thanks also to EU Just Transition Digital Transformation Programme and Fáilte Ireland for funding and making this invaluable professional development possible.

Culture, Crafts, and Community: Getting Ready for the Boyle Arts Festival 2026

With summer in full swing, there is an unmistakable buzz building here in Boyle. The countdown is officially on for the spectacular Boyle Arts Festival, running from July 16th to July 25th.

As one of Ireland's premier regional arts festivals, it brings an incredible lineup of music, comedy, visual arts, and theatre to our historic town. From the main exhibitions at King House to stellar performances across local venues, this year's programme is packed with brilliant talent.

As part of our mission at Úna Bhán Tourism Co-operative to celebrate everything that makes our region thrive, we want to highlight some fantastic local initiatives you should absolutely check out while you are in town for the festivities. It is the perfect opportunity to support local independent businesses!

Gear Up with Official Merchandise at the Boyle Craftshop
While you are exploring the festival venues, a visit to the Boyle Craftshop—located in the beautiful grounds of King House—is an absolute must. We are doing incredible work supporting local makers, and it's the perfect stop between events:

We have official festival brochures available so you can check the daily schedule.

You can pick up the official festival merchandise there, including the must-have festival hats.

While you’re in, it’s well worth browsing their gorgeous curated collection of unique, locally handmade gifts and artwork from the region's finest independent creators.

Experience the Saturday Courtyard Market
If you are visiting for the festival weekends, do yourself a favor and pop into the The Courtyard Market, Grounds of King House. Happening every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, it is a fantastic community hub.

It's the perfect place to meet local food producers, bakers, and artisans.

Grab some delicious fresh eats, sweet treats, and a coffee to fuel up before heading off to your daytime festival exhibitions or afternoon workshops.

Festivals like this are the lifeblood of rural tourism, but they truly thrive when visitors explore the wider community. When you buy a ticket to a show, pick up a festival hat from the craft shop, or support a trader at the market, you are directly investing in the independent artists, families, and creators who make the West of Ireland so special.
