Please avoid using this gateway until further notice or in the case of using it please take extreme caution.

Unfortunately, the gate has been hit and is now unstable. Please leave the gate open and do not attempt to close it, as this could cause it to fall or create a safety risk.

We are aware of the issue and arrangements are being made to have it repaired as soon as possible.

Thank you to everyone who came along to Cemetery Sunday. It was lovely to see so many people there!

We are incredibly grateful for the continued support from our community through donations and our GoFundMe page. None of what we have achieved would be possible without your generosity. In particular, our beautiful new glass structures would not have been possible without your support.

We would like to sincerely thank Boyle Glass for creating this beautiful glass structure for Assylinn Cemetery. We are absolutely delighted with the finished result.

Just in time for Cemetery Sunday tomorrow at 3pm in the Old Cemetery.

We would like to make everyone aware that there is currently no maintenance being carried out on the section inside the main gate of the old cemetery (on the right-hand side). This is due to members of the RSS scheme who had been maintaining the area having now retired from their positions.

Until such time as these RSS positions are filled again, the upkeep of this section will unfortunately need to rely on support from the local community.

We appreciate your understanding and any help from those willing to lend a hand in helping keep the area maintained during this period. Thank you for your continued support.

The Friends Of Assylinn Cemeteries Committee are currently looking for people who may be interested in joining a TÚS Scheme. We are also seeking people who may qualify for the Rural Social Scheme.

The role would involve the general maintenance and upkeep of both cemeteries, along with assisting the committee on various projects throughout the cemeteries.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to all the team at Keville Engineering for the making and hanging of the beautiful new gates at Assylinn Cemetery.
