Crowhurst is doing such a wonderful job of illuminating aspects of the standing stones and earthworks that are utterly mind boggling... Well done for so brilliantly picking up the batten passed on by John Michell, Alexander Thom and Anne Macualy... top stuff ... not to be missed.

In the far distant past, Great Britain was measured and organised and unmovable monuments, earth mounds and henges, were built to immortalize the plan and to...

There are whispers on the wind of a final stone circle camp at Glendree in June 2021...(not 2020) putting up two avenue stones outlying the Astara Gate and the big outlier on the fairy path.. new info has come to light about the design we worked with and how it relates to the solar year and the moon year and the eclipse cycle, and it is possible the outliers we have in mind may enhance the mojo a bit more... of course we would have to dig out and drag 2 massive stones to the site... so that would be all part of the camp... only a whisper at the mo ..........

Glendree Stone Circle, Co Clare, 2nd Dec 2019, in the winter setting sun light. This was built by hand using ropes and rollers and levers during week long camps over a period of 3 years, finished in 2013. The geometry is based on ancient designs, a 'flattened Egg type B' after the work of Alexander Thom. it is aligned to the rising and setting sun at the Equinoxes...and is 18 Megalithic Yards wide at its widest point. the Megalithic yard is an ancient measurement found in stone circles...it is one Royal Egyptian Cubit plus one foot = 2.72 feet... The dowser Billy Gawn guided the positioning of the circle stones and 2 outlying stones.

Sitting here wondering how to support the semi-elliptic office desk I’m building, I contemplate stollage. Great thing stollage, the stuff of massive woodworkings.
