A truck is on its way to empty the textile bank in Knock carpark. If you have clothes to donate, please only leave them if there is space in the banks. Otherwise, this looks like dumping.

All welcome to attend this online meeting tomorrow @ 7:30pm.

A little reminder to join us for the Knock Annual St Stephen’s Day Walk, meet at the gates of the Old Church after the 12 o’clock mass. 🚶‍♀️Tea/Coffee served afterwards at Knock Community Centre. ☕️

The Community Centre committee would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who used the facility this year; thanks to Mayo County Council staff and officials, and all our local Councillors for your support and financial assistance. In particular, we would like to acknowledge Cllr Deirdre Lawless who has shown wonderful support to the Community Centre, in this her first year as a Councillor. Thank you to John Mcnicholl, his manager Donogh and to Fr Richard and staff of Knock Shrine for all their help with the fundraising concert earlier this year. 🎶

We head into 2026 debt-free which is something we are very proud of. Please continue to support your local Centre.

Wishing you all a very happy Christmas. May it be filled with health, happiness, peace, and many blessings in the New Year!

- Knock Community Centre Committee. 🎄💫

It was lovely to spend an evening with the Claremorris No Name Club at Oíche na hÓige. I was delighted to support the club through GMA funding. It's wonderful our teens have this safe space to grow and have fun. Well done to all the volunteers for your commitment to our youth.

Oíche na hÓige in Knock was pure magic — the energy, talent, and confidence of our young people was inspiring! Huge credit to the amazing Foróige members for shining so brightly and to the incredible leaders who made it all happen.

I was delighted to support the great work of Knock Kilkelly Foróige Club this year through the GMA funding allocation.

Community spirit was alive and well — thank you to everyone who supported, attended, and helped create such a special evening.

Huge congratulations to Gary McDonnell on securing bronze at the World Kickboxing Championships in Dubai — Ireland’s sole medal. A proud day for Claremorris Ultimate Kickboxing Club, with Coach Phelim Halligan and team continuing to build a remarkable tradition of world-class success.

Gary narrowly missed out on a silver medal this morning after a three round war with an extremely strong and talented opponent from Kazakhstan. Gary finished the stronger in round three but unfortunately it was Kazakhstan that got the nod from the judges.

Congratulations Gary, you still come home with a hard earned 🥉 medal from the most prestigious World Kickboxing Championships!
Everyone here at Claremorris Ultimate Kickboxing Club are very proud of you.

Wonderful news today for Kiltimagh Knock Utd! CLAR funding of just over €50k will go to building a much needed spectators stand. I was delighted to get this great club shortlisted for the funding at a special workshop held back in June. Well done to Mary Niland, Ray Carney, Marissa Cunningham, Aidan Flatley and all the Committee for getting this application over the line. Comhghairdeas mór tuillte ✨️👏🎊

Deputy Paul Lawless TD was among the guests at this morning's funding announcement for Kiltimagh Knock United.

A word of thanks to Cllr Deirdre Lawless, who couldn’t be with us this morning, who supported this project to advance from the Claremorris/Swinford Municipal District of Mayo County Council.
