Detailed route maps for each race are available via the official website: https://www.corkcity.ie/en/cork-city-marathon/maps

Race day is very much a city-wide occasion, and supporters play a central role in the atmosphere.

The public is encouraged to line the streets, bring energy and support runners throughout the course.

Recommended viewing points include: The Lough and Washington Street, while the Carrigrohane (Straight) Road and Mardkye Walk are also great vantage points (accessible on foot only due to road closures).

With the new finish line on Grand Parade, the city centre will be a key focal point for spectators, alongside a number of locations across the route where encouragement can make a real difference in the later stages of each race. Spectators are encouraged to share race day moments using the following hashtags:

Those who would like to support the family and friends of Ellen Cassidy, who are running in her memory, are asked to wear yellow or hold a yellow banner.

Temporary road closures, diversions and traffic restrictions will be in place throughout race morning and early afternoon.

People should check information on road closures, diversions and access routes on the official website in advance of race day. Anyone travelling in or through the city is advised to plan ahead.

Organisers acknowledge and appreciate the continued support and patience of residents, businesses and commuters in facilitating an event of this scale.

πŸšŒπŸ’³ Did You Know? Travelling by bus is cheaper with a TFI Leap Card!

Many people still pay cash on the bus every day without realising that using a Leap Card is both cheaper and faster.

βœ… Cheaper fares
βœ… Faster boarding
βœ… No need to search for coins
βœ… Easy top-up in local shops, post offices and many petrol stations

πŸ“ Cork City Adult Leap Fares:
β€’ Single Journey (0–11 stages): €1.35
β€’ Single Journey (12+ stages): €1.55

🎫 Regular Traveller Tickets:
β€’ 24 Hour Ticket: €4.50
β€’ 7 Day Ticket: €18.60
β€’ Monthly Ticket: €68.00

πŸ’‘ The idea is simple:
Buy a Leap Card once, then top it up weekly with the amount you would normally spend on bus fares anyway.

You can still top up using cash at participating shops, post offices and other Leap Card agents.

For many passengers it works out noticeably cheaper over time, especially if you travel regularly.
